I went to see a surgeon yesterday about having a fatty tumor removed from the back of my neck. 20 more lbs to go, to get to where I'd like to be. I asked the doc if there was 20 lbs of fat in that tumor. I just got a funny look back. Oh if it were only that simple.

Doctor's often times don't have a great sense of humor.

Wouldn't it be amazing that you hit your goal and the tumor goes away?!?! You are so close my friend. Now comes what I would think is the toughest part since your weight losses will be much slower than before.

That's too funny. It should at least be a 5lb loss. Best wishes to you if you proceed with the surgery.

One thing I did lose was several small fatty tumors I had had since I was a teen. They melted away when I lost quite a bit at once, and have not returned.

Too bad you can't lose the tumor with your weight loss. Good luck with any surgery.

Thanks friends. It would be nice if the tumor would go away on it's own but its' gradually gotten larger over time. It's nothing to worry about, 99.9% likely to be benign, and may even be a cyst but the doc won't know until he gets into it. Heck it doesn't even bother me as I can't see it without a mirror. But it bugs the heck out of my wife! I've tried to tell her I'll just paint an eyeball on it and it can be the "eye in the back of my head" so to speak. She's not agreeable with that, hence the surgery. :)

I agree, some doctors just don't have any sense of humor. I recently got some bad news and I refuse to be negative about it but my doctor sure doesn't make that easy. She always so down and never smiles. She does not give me much hope. Hang in there, at least they can remove it.

An eyeball on the back of your neck would definately be cause for concern for your wife! Let us know when you are having the surgery so we can pray for you during that time.
