201.6 lbs. I've spent the week rebuilding my garage walls. Been enjoying a few beers and sometimes ice cream at the end of the days plus grabbing stuff quick to eat, that's the cause for the gain. I'm not worried about it, once I'm back to the normal routine and schedule I'll work on it.

Here's a couple pics of the garage - the first one as it was with the aluminum crank windows for walls. The second pic is as of last night - I should get the rear wall sided today.

Looking good. I just happen to know that's a whole lot of work but well worth the effort.

NICE!!! Those old windows would have had a nice open feeling but have their issues, no insulation for one. I had an aluminum crank window in my basement, I hated that thing. The precious owner had updated all the windows but that one. It didn't close all the way, I ended up lining it with plastic and duck taping a think piece of Styrofoam over it until I could get it replaced. I'm sure you will love having a sealed garage, especially in the winter.

I use to own a house that had that type of window, in the kitchen, over the kitchen sink. When we were doing our room to room remodeling, never could figure out how to replace that dang window, without tearing out the kitchen cupboards since the cupboards were built over the window. Talk about cold and drafty, even with a storm window covering it in the winter. It's the remodeling we did that I know how much it's hard work but well worth it in the end.

That looks more like a beautiful house than a garage!

I have problems staying out of the beer cooler when doing lots of heavy work, too... that cold reward beer is the most satisfying refreshment when you're drenched in sweat and all of your muscles are burning from being overworked. I don't think we can beat ourselves up over that...

Wow - that must havce been an interesting garage with the windows like that in the first place. I am always amazed at how people know how to do this stuff! I guess my DH, and me, are not handy~!

Wow that looks fantastic! All those windows were there for growing maybe? Never saw a garage like it before. Reward beers don't have any calories right?

Hi Jim, I was also thinking that this "garage" would make a nice house. You did a great job! We live in a 1971 old style mobile home, so almost any house looks nice to me, LOL! But I wouldn't trade our beautiful little farm, we love it so much. Seems like we're all having an "ice cream week", my Hubs & my B-days are both this month & we celebrate them together. Hubs bought an Oreo cake, & my requested Bunny Tracks ice cream, & we partied with our girls. Weight loss wasn't that great, but that's ok since I lost nearly 1 lb even with all of the treats, & I'm sure I'll do better this week. You're doing great, & I wish you good success in this coming week.

Glammer, losing weight and also enjoying the treats, you did great. Me not so well, up about 3 lbs. I'd love to live on a farm so I envy you there. The garage is part of our house, attached, the rest is brick, and there's another garage at the opposite end, bottom level that is my workshop. It's a ranch style house from the 70's. I got the siding done, just have some trim work left to do and wiring on the inside. However now old aluminum siding on the gable looks dingy compared to the new, so I'll be tearing it off and putting up new stuff there in the future. Also need to do a light lime wash to the lower brick all around the house - it looks dirty but it's just the original lime wash fading due to rainwater splashing on it over the years. Hoping I can blend it with the rest of the brick and not have to do the entire house. Thanks everyone for the comments, I enjoy doing stuff like this.
