Last night we had bad thunderstorms and I couldn't go to sleep, so I got up and drank a cup of hot tea. My stomach started cramping up and I got diarrhea. This morning, my stomach was still hurting. I only took a few sips of Diet Coke and threw up. I went back to bed for a couple more hours and didn't feel like I could eat my usual bacon and eggs, so I just had an Atkins Caramel Nut Chew Bar, which I promptly vomited up.

I NEVER get sick! I DO vomit occasionally because of the gastric bypass surgery -- if I eat too fast or don't chew my food well enough, but this is different (if you've had the surgery, you know the difference). This was real "I'm sick" vomiting. SHEESH! How many times can I say "vomit" in a paragraph. Sorry guys.

So, by this time I would normally have had breakfast, AND lunch, and a snack, and all I've had is a nutrition bar that didn't stay down. At least my weight was down a little this morning. Tomorrow morning's will probably give a false DOWN read because of skipping meals today. That's alright, I'll just go with the flow.

I'm TEMPTED to go and eat some of the Entennman's Rich Frosted Popems Donut Holes that I bought for my husband, knowing that it will just come back up anyway, but I'm going to try to refrain from doing that.

My new food storage containers arrived today! I went ahead and measured out the remainder of the "Beef (No) Merlot" and portions of "Loaded Baked 'Potatoes'" (which I've decided to call them instead of "stuffed baked potatoes." They were REALLY good yesterday - I ate 1-1/2 portions because I sorta ate it as a separate meal.

I think I'll go back to bed again. Maybe this is just the jumpstart I needed to get back into my losing groove! Hope it won't last too terribly long, though. I feel pretty miserable.

Sounds like you have what I have. I just didn't share the vomiting part. Don't eat the donut holes, drink fluids. LOL

Hope you feel better. Try chicken broth. Before that, ice chips. Nausea is simply inflammation of the lining of the stomach (except in cases of motion sickness or another underlying condition), whether caused by acid or a virus. Ice will cool it down and ease the symptoms. My dad (was a doctor) used to do that and never got sick.

Try the BRAT diet after your vomiting subsidies. Until then sip your water/electrolyte drink. Feel better soon!

So sorry to hear you are under the weather, no pun intended.🤗 I hope it isn't covid !!! It sure is a rough way to lose a pound or two. I think you folks sent some of that weather to us up here in Ontario. We didn't get much thunder but we sure got the rain. I hope you are feeling better today.
