jmb3450's Journal, 04 May 16

I had surgery a couple days ago to remove some tumors and cysts from my neck and back. Maybe it's a reaction to the anesthesia/meds but yesterday and today I've had terrible abdominal cramps. They seem to be getting better though so I'm thinking the worst has passed. I've been a slug the last 2 days and hopefully today can get more activity in.

One of my best friends passed away last week, that was tough. But he no longer is bound by the limitations and suffering he had in this life. God used his physical disabilities to touch the lives of many people. As long as I've known him I looked down at him since he was in a wheel chair. Next time we meet he'll be standing tall and I'll be looking up!

Normally I don't join challenges but am doing the Get Serious challenge that started this week. I need to get serious again and get off these last pesky pounds I've been playing around with for far too long.

I agree with Chesgreen, take it easy. I am sorry to hear you lost your friend but isn't it wonderful that you know he will be standing tall when you meet him again. You are such a sweet man. I must have missed that challenge. :o) I wish you the best with it.

So sorry about your friend but it does help some knowing you will see him again in heaven. That sure helped me when I lost my brother last year. Take care of yourself.

Great to have that outlook on life, isn't it, Jim? To know that something better lies ahead and that we will see things are they truly are. Hang in there guy. I'm assuming you've let the doctor know about the cramps?

Thanks everyone. Yes Bruce, I'm very glad that we have something better ahead once this life as we know it is done. As for the cramps they're better but still hanging around, if they persist I may have to get it checked out. But hoping/praying otherwise. The funeral this Saturday is extremely important to me and music for it depends on me. The band I played in that included my deceased friend will be playing several songs at the funeral. I've got to be there.

Jim I'm concerned that you have been suffering with abdominal cramps. You have every reason to feel like taking things easy. Sympathy is coming your way, it is very sad to loose a close friend.

Thx Mom, I got to the article. Very nice way of describing and appreciating dealing with grief.

Thank you Brenda. Hopefully the abdominal stuff will resolve and be nothing significant. That's my plan for it at least but if not I'll get things checked out.
