Day one of getting back on track done successfully. A small step forward. This is a mental battle for me and I've been in a funk for far too long. It's funny (to me anyway), exercise and being active is not a problem for me. However I have bad patterns of emotional, compulsive, and stress eating behaviors that have to be overcome.

Jim I can totally relate. I mean it. I've let those things hold me down for way too long and I am sure things could occur in the future that may have a temporary stranglehold on me. We have to just keep fighting for a better version of ourselves. We can do this.

Eating is always the hardest part for me too. I enjoy the exercise, but if I have any emotions I tend to want food. Just being aware is helpful though so you can, at least sometimes, stop the behavior before you start and do something healthy instead of eating junk, or even eat something healthy instead.

You're doing better than most - recognizing and defining the behaviors you wish to change. Much success to you!

Thanks everyone. Day 2 down, on target. Brenda, I did take a walk to the lake today. Got caught in a thunderstorm a mile and a half from work and got soaked before I got back. Nothing like finishing out the day in wet britches. :)
