193 lbs. We got around 32" of snow I think, hard to tell with the drifting. Got the cars and front driveway dug out yesterday evening, will do the back driveway today. But until we get plows in to do the streets it's impossible to get out. Then will go to my mom's and sister's houses for more shoveling. Good exercise at least. 5 degrees F but nice and sunny today.

*Update - just talked to my youngest daughter who lives in WV, she said they got about 48 inches there...wow. But all are safe and sound, just not going anywhere real soon. Here's a pic of our front driveway after shoveling yesterday. We got a few more inches later on in the evening.

That's a lot of snow. The shoveling is good exercise but it's easy to overdo it. Be careful in the cold weather.

WOW ... you did get the snow!! I am thinking we got about 16 inches or more. I measured at one point in the early afternoon and we had 14 inches. It snowed the rest of the day lightly. Take it easy shoveling. I know it has to be done but I hope you have somebody helping you. One of our neighbors has a snow plow on his ATV and he came out first. Then my other neighbor put the plow on his big arsed tractor and he worked on all our gravel roads out here all the way up to the main road. I don't know how we would ever get out if they hadn't done that. Stay warm!

At least shoveling snow is great exercise. Have a nice Sunday Jim.

That's a lot of work. I hope you wore one of those wrap around back braces. I guess you have electricity. Most of my relatives are in WV, they're sending me the same kind of snow fall reports. I'm not worried, because I know they are used to it.

My NJ driveway looks a lot like yours. Did most of the shoveling myself, but kind neighbor used his snow-thrower on the heavy stuff the plows leave at the bottom of the drive. Wonderful blue skies today, but I came back into the house snow blind. Funny you don't think to wear your sunglasses when shoveling snow. Hope you're none the worse for the "cardio" workout. Have a great day all.

We got a whole half an inch! Drove two hours to Hendersonville, NC and played in about a foot of it! (The best of both worlds!)

Hmmm...looks familiar living in Minnesota; however this storm missed us completely!

I moved to Missouri from Iowa after we retired, just to get away from all that! We still have winter and usually an ice storm every year, but not that much snow.

Snows like this are not the norm for us, once every few years. I believe this is the biggest snow I have personally experienced. Talking with neighbors who measured our total was around 36 inches. Now....my wife is from Buffalo and has persevered through 8 foot snow storms.

Wow! We lived in Colorado for 18 years and I do miss the snow. However, I don't miss shoveling those 4' snowfalls. I think that we'll stick to South Texas for the winters and just spend summer, fall and ski vacations in the mountains.

That's incredible. On a positive note, you can probably burn a ton of calories if you shovel the snow manually. :)

Yikes!!!!- dido above calories will be burned with shoveling!!! :)

Guess you won't have to go to the Gym !

We got a pretty good snow too. I had to clear the driveway. I didn't have any problem getting my steps in or burning enough calories... Hehehehe....

We've actually had a pretty lax winter. Not a lot of snow, and - 10 or warmer seems to be the norm. Ready to plant peach trees.

Well, if you shoveled, at least that counts for exercise!

Wow! That is incredible. My parents grew up in North Dakota but I grew up in Texas and have wanted to experience a blizzard my whole life. I guess for now I'll have to settle with my 1 inch of snow we got her in Georgia this time around, LOL. That little 1 inch sure got us excited. Seeing your pic and thinking about all the hard work you must have put in to shovel makes for a reality check for sure! Glad you still have power!!
