For Warren as promised, try to find these spots, hint, North of the airport...enjoy your trip this fall!!

The first pic is taken from under our Favorite tree on our favorite beach, north of Kailua Kona; not giving out directions although maybe you might find it if you are Ok with travelling a rough lava road to get to it...the second beach is also very nice but even harder to get to....

Ah Hawaii! I was lucky enough to spend some months on Maui, once. So beautiful! I didn't do much there but body surfing and going out dancing at night! But it wasn't my home, so I left.

Hmm, Knuckles good guess but wrong island...these two beaches are on the Big Island...Kona side. The World Ironman bike leg goes right by the roads leading down to them.

Where exactly, Steven? Just kidding, enjoy your secluded beach. It's a beautiful treasure.

Thanks Steven,, I appreciate it! Beaches here in LA don't hold a candle to beaches over there. What I love best about Hawaii. So many different kinds, and all gorgeous, best of all, isolated beaches. My favorite I think was there on the Big Island, that had the turtles right on the beach, and in the shallow water. It was a black sand also. I especially liked the diving in the lava tubes, but had an experience, when I traveled in a lava tube, and it was filled with a group of sharks. When I was blocking their exit, they got excited, and came right at me trying to exit the cave. Scared the "be jesus" out of me.

By the way, I have never, and will never, see clearer water than Kona. One of the few places in the world, where you can see the bottom of the ocean, so clear looking off the side of the boat, over 100 feet down. Over 100 feet visibility in the water. a real rarity.

Here in LA, beaches can have 7 feet visibility. Parts of Hawaii can also. Just depends where you are.

Ohhh I knew by the name where you were. I took a puddle hopper tour a few times when we lived there. This is back when they were still filming Bay Watch on the north shore of Oahu. Hawaii is the only island i didn't care much for. And Oahu while quite beautiful is to militarized.

Absolutely beautiful!

It is interesting, that Oahu is so built up, because it has the least humidity of the islands. The best weather, in other words. I like it, because of it's city/rural contrast. Each island is unique though, and has its own flavor.

But ohhh lord dont touch the fresh water. Its contaminated with hepatitis VERY BADLY!!! there are even signs warning of it.
