Caterpillar2Butterfly's Journal, 19 Aug 16

I apologize for my absence, friends, but I'm on such an awesome spiritual journey that social media interferes with.

A guru once said, "When you can look at an acorn, but see instead an oak tree & all of the wonderful things that are derived from that tree, you have reached a level of enlightenment." Wtbs, I got so upset when my son threw away all of the seeds that a canalope bares last night...lol. I have saved tons of seeds from fruits the past few weeks, and plan to start an orchard.

I once saw bees as pests, but now I see so much more. My baby boy who got stung a few days ago, asked me wouldn't I'd rather there be no bees so noone gets stung. I then to my own surprise (I've always feared them as well) explain the importance of bees to him, and told him all of the reasons why we need them. Now, I'm thinking off starting a honey bee farm.

I can't believe all of the beautifully calming things in nature that I have been missing all of these years! The cotton-like clouds, the beautiful sunrises/sunsets, the voluptuous moon, the intreging stars, the perfect symmetry of the flowers, the sounds of the birds, etc.

I can't believe all of the time I'be spent wishing my kids we're calmer rather than teaching them to be calmer. I can't believe all of the time I've spent wishing that I was 16 again instead of focusing on the joys of being 40 (almost). I can't believe all of the time that I've spent stessing to have the "perfect body" rather than focusing on being healthy and enjoying life... MY life, right here & now! For one day... it will be no more, and I'm OK with the circle of life as long as I leave behind what I'm supposed to (Love, joy, memories, etc.).

Much love to you all, and a special thank you to Sugar Waffle for being a guru of sorts! 😘

Namaste'...

Thanks, Engeland! 😂 @ ghostwritor. I know the feeling. I'm still working on spiders and snakes myself. It's hard for me to find a soft spot for them...lol.

No apologies needed for becoming a more enlightened human being.

Spiders bug me and I don't want anything to do with them. But I know I should correct that attitude since I do a lot of fiber art and am starting to spin my own yarn too. I love snakes and when I had a yard I always felt really bad when I hit a hidden one with my lawn mower. Mosquitoes and flies can go. Bats might eat mosquitoes. Not sure. I know they eat gnats. I like bats. I guess, I mostly like critters that eat bugs. Bats and yard snakes eat bugs. Still, spiders just give me the heebee jeebee's.

Ah, peace, darlin'. That's the whole point, isn't it? Have a beautiful week!

this morning I watched a doe gracefully run near me in the woods. I have never seen anything so beautiful as she just seem to glide through the air with each leap. To watch her maneuver through and around all the trees so effortlessly was breathtaking. Yes, we are all connected. Jenny, I am so happy to be a part of your journey :)

Nice to 'see' you, and to read about your newest journey. Indeed, life is an amazing series of journeys, not a destination.

Lovely - there is no journey, the miracle is the now.

Wow Jen...you sound completely at peace...we will never be perfect, our lives will never be perfect and that is perfectly Ok...take care and let's all enjoy the journey.

Thanks, Chica, Ches, and Sam! Yea, Kristy, I'm deathly terrified of spiders...lol. @Sugar, funny you should mention deer. They are in abundance in my area. I used to only see them as a danger of causing accidents. Day before yesterday, a doe and "Bambi" ran out in front of me. Instead of it making me angry, I stopped the truck & watch them galap off as far as the eye could see. Beautiful! Thank you for being a part of my journey, my friend! 😚 @kclad, you're welcome. Look for the beauty in nature & know that you are only meant to have the worries that lay there. "The sparrow worry not...". Find your calm. Know where it is at all times, so you can always find it again. @kes... nice to 'see you too, my friend! 😚 Yes, it is! I loved your post about learning to listen to your body again!!! Indeed... it tells us everything we need to know, and it's amazing when we find the calm & still so tart we can actually hear it whisper before it starts screaming.

@Steven... I'm so at peace that when my son broke my laptop the other day, I only smiled and said,"It's OK. I know you didn't mean to." I'm almost positive my family thinks I'm on drugs, because a lot of smaller things would normally send me into a psychotic rage. 😂

K2B, thank you for sharing your sense of awareness and peace, Nameste.

Too funny Jen re the laptop, etc...I bet you couldn't find a drug that duplicates the total awareness, peace and "zen" feelings you have discovered on your own. We should all be so lucky. Take care and hope your weekend is awesome, including no more broken laptops... :-)
