25% complete of my journey- down 20 pounds and roughly 60lbs to go. I had a horrible experience this week - met a bunch of people who I haven’t seen in years - can’t believe how many people made the comment “oh you used to be so skinny” or actually just say “you need to try and lose weight” - I am sure there are others with similar experiences on here - didn’t bother saying well actually I was 20 pounds heavier 2 and a half months ago - just sucked it up and crashed into reality- even though I feel better and look better than I did, I got a long way to go - Unfortunately my fat is no secret :)

Important is that you know that you look better, you feel better and, of course, the weight is not going to fall off over night. What others say shouldn't dictate your feelings nor hinder your progress. You're on this journey for your life; a much healthier and happier life for yourself. Just imagine what they'll say the next time they see you. You're doing great! Keep tracking.

I really don’t understand people who feel the need to comment on others weight fluctuations......like they’re helping you or something. “Oh, you know what, I wouldn’t have noticed I gained 50lbs if it wasn’t for you, thank you sooo much!”🙄 They showed you their true colors. You’re doing awesome! Keep up the great work!

I've gone up and down soooo.much One time I quit smoking, drinking and eating, lost 50lb. Still don't drink or smoke but I gained the 50lbs back plus some. If I lost the 50lb my prize was to be a jet ski. I did it but he didn't buy the jet ski!

More than likely those same people won't compliment you when you reach your goal weight. Do it for your own well being...

Sometimes damaged people are bent on damaging us... I'd be tempted to say, "And, you used to be more subtle and empathetic - what happened?"

What you are doing is for YOU, not for THEM . You have nothing to be ashamed of, nor do you need to prove anything to them. You are better that they are, take care of yourself for you! Some people just love to tear others down. You have the support of all of us at FS. 😊

Good one, 184! Try to replace the memory of that nastiness with your own triumph! 20 pounds loss takes strength and dedication, the kind not everyone is capable of, but you are! Chin up and push on! We got you!

Adversity is what launches us into success. Just take their comnents as motivation. You will be at 165lbs before you know it and fitter and healthier. That said, some people are so fing rude. Jeeze!
