Draglist's Journal, 31 Dec 17

Woke at 217.0, down .8 from yesterday. My lowest weight over the past week was last Monday (Christmas morning), so I recorded that at 213.4. Researching my plans for January 2018 and I will attempt zero carbs. I also will be doing a fasting mimicking diet for one week a month. Been studying Dr. Valter Longo for that. He has a new book out that I need to get. I don't have the details on how that week is supposed to work but he is getting great results for cancer and MS patients with it (not to mention weight maintenance). Lots of good interviews on YouTube. Happy New Year, everyone! UPDATE: Enjoyed a wonderful Beef Bourguignon in the Instant Pot and a few bottles of wine for New Year's Eve. Went over on calories and carbs and that's a wrap for 2017! Ended the day at 218.6, so the morning waking weight is today's low.

So your plan of zero carbs is for January? Can't imagine a whole year of no fruit, which is what I thought you meant. I'm going to try to totally give up carbs that are in processed foods (that means no more hot chocolate and 1/4 bagels with cream cheese for breakfast......sigh).

Happy New Year and good luck! I personally could never do 0 carbs or fast. I love food too much, and either of those methods would make me so miserable that I'd eventually give up. I do stick to a lower carb diet, but even keep it under 100g a day is hard! haha

I should eat more berries - they're so good for you. Must remember to make some smoothies with them. I've never tried sauerkraut.
