Draglist's Journal, 05 May 16

Woke at 205.4, down .8 from yesterday. Targeting 2066 calories today. UPDATE: Enjoyed a great happy hour that went a bit long so Jason had to come and get me at the train. We went to our favorite Italian restaurant on the way home. Let’s just say my judgement was a bit impaired and I had Italian Bread with butter, Veal Parm (but with veggies), red wine, and even a chocolate dessert after. Ended up at 2300 calories on a 2066 target and of course, bread and sugar were included. Weighed in after dinner and the meal showed! 600 calorie 5:2 fasting day tomorrow to get back on track. For exercise, actually walked more than 10K steps and 5.88 miles naturally all day without the treadmill! So that will mitigate the eating a bit.

I hear you Bill...my better half doesn't want me to lose anymore weight...I'd like to lose a bit more fat and maybe even the seven pounds down to 200...I'm not concerned about getting there...but I am a bit concerned about retaining strength and muscle along the way...have a great weekend.

You're right Carmen...she is the smart one in our relationship. :-)

I hear you on the 10 percent thing...hat's off to you and others...that is a very challenging goal. I know firsthand how hard that is for some of us, I don't think I could ever get there without having that as my full time job & focus...lol. 12 or 13% totally doable, 15% is even easier. I'm hoping I can stabilize around 12 or 13% and keep a great endurance and strength profile...highest SUSTAINABLE power to weight ratio is my ultimate goal for a lot of reasons.

I do some weights (30's and 35's) but mostly TRX, I can get an awesome burn in almost any muscle group in a short time with it...I log 10 minutes every day with TRX but probably 20 plus minutes scattered through the day... usually 10 minutes or more at a time. It also helps that I have a live in Pilates and TRX coach/teacher....although I am a very bad pupil...very bad!!

We'll have to compare notes some day Bill...sure would be nice to exit 2016 at our goal weights and body shape!!

Bill, I'll PM you on some details re TRX if you want...form is very important... Learning a few important things re muscle isolation is key too.

Warning, almost wrecked my ipad reading a post Jimmie made in Smarty's journal...milk everywhere. :-)
