Debbie Cousins's Journal, 21 Apr 19

Confessions of an Easter Egghead! Well, I didn’t have ANY Easter candy, except for one 1” piece of a Twix bar that I snuck out of my grand daughter’s Easter basket. I also did NOT have any dessert (well, ALMOST not any!) – no Banana Pudding, no Chocolate Bar Cake, but I did have a 1” Orange Blossom. That’s the GOOD NEWS!

Now, for the "Egghead" part – I DID have everything else I wanted to eat today – except for breakfast, I ate that according to my WOE. At the Easter “dinner” (which is in the early afternoon here in the South), I had TWO helpings of Pineapple-Cheese Casserole, a Ham Roll, Potato Salad, a couple Potato Chips, Corn Pudding, 2 Devilled Eggs, Spinach Dip on Ritz Crackers and a Bacon-Wrapped Water Vidalia Onion Ring.

Later tonight, I had another large serving of the Pineapple-Cheese, another Ham Roll, another Devilled Egg and another Bacon-Wrapped Onion Ring. I wanted to get everything “out of my system” TODAY, so I can get back on track tomorrow and have the resolve to not eat any of the stuff that ended up back in my refrigerator. Not putting the pecans in the Chocolate Bar Cake really helped me to resist it! (Patting self on back!) I still have a fair amount of Fresh Fruit Salad, though a LOT of it was taken home by others afterward. All of the other leftovers in my fridge can go to my husband and Dwayne (the guy who lives with us).

Tomorrow is the dawn of a new day – a day without any mistakes in it – a day with a high probability that I will follow my WOE perfectly, staying within my RDI for Calories and making ALL good choices! “Toooooomorrow, Tomorrow, I love ya, Tomorrow!” ("Annie" playing in my head, me whispering the song so the family doesn't hear me!) That’s what I LOVE about the Daily Accountability challenges! We report in DAILY, so we have to be accountable to others about what we are and are not doing. And, each day, we have the chance to submit a perfect report! Then, each WEEK, we get to start a whole new challenge. Whoever thought of these must have been a genius!!! (Oh wait! That was ME!)

I’m also going to start recording my Exercise again (to encourage a new member). I just checked the weather report, and it is supposed to be nice in the morning – not too hot, and partly sunny. I’m going to put WALKING on my Daily To Do List. When it’s nice, I can walk here at home, around the perimeter of our 10-acre property, which is 1/2 mile – otherwise, I need to head to Walmart to walk . I want to do that at least 4 days a week to start. From ZERO to four will be a good accomplishment! I’ve gotta get toned like @Sharon’s Victory!!!

Debbie, I did well on all but the sugar!! Ate more sweet treats than I had in last 6 months. I did walk 2.1 miles yesterday though. Do you have a Fitbit? I Love mine to help motivate movement. You are awesome, thanks!

No, @Dennymau, I don't have a Fitbit. I think it would help if I did. Recording my Exercise this week will help some. I'm also setting my timer to alternate my activities between exercise, housework, computer work, cooking, etc. That will keep me from sitting in my recliner on the computer for MOST of the day!

I ate so much from Friday until last night that I couldn't have eaten another bite. I'm actually scared to climb the scale this morning, but after my exercise I will take my medicine and report. Ugh!

Tomorrow*s another day. ☺

Work through that fear, @adamevegod1. Tame the beastly scale! I hope your results aren't as bad as mine were - and I only ate on Sunday!
