Happy Sunday Best Buddies,

I am doing well with macros - averages for February remain 68% fat, 24% protein, and 8% carbs.

One Idiot Box showed 168.6 and the other showed 170.2 - so I ignore them both for now!

I am excited because on Friday I will get my trainer to do my bodyfat with his calipers. He is better at it than my husband with my home calipers!

MY CURRENT GOALS: Discuss dose changes with endocrinologist, try for lower carb percentage, lift heavier at the gym and see caliper bodyfat move down in February.

MY LONG RANGE GOALS: Body fat at 26% or less and scale weight in the 150's or less

Awesome goals! Wow I am your goal weight, I am usually in the 150s and my BF was 24.5 ish last time I checked. You can do it! Btw how many carbs do you have currently?

@Panigale1199: I count NET carb grams which is total carbs minus fiber. My NET carbs are always under 20 grams. I am eating more fiber lately - Paleo Wraps which are coconut, flax seed crackers, avocado, blackberries. All great fiber sources and low NET carbs. So even if the carb count looks higher - it is more fiber and my NET carbs stays low.

@panigale1199: Bodyfat is harder for women as we age; I am soon to be 61 years old and I am guessing you are barely 30 years old! If I can get to 25-26% bodyfat, that is considered excellent for my age!

I dropped into the 25% body fat range yesterday and I am in my mid fifties. I had to get over my self talk that my fat is on me just because I am older. I realized that I was looking for excuses and that I can lose and get fitter because I know many slim fit women older than me and I want to be one of them! Go HCB!

Oh of course, BF is hard for me to lose at even my age, I can only imagine how tough it is when you get older. I give you tons of credit, many women your age are not even as disciplined as you are. I wish my Mom could change her ways. She is still brain washed with "low fat and healthy whole grains" But I am slowly getting her to avoid the grains atleast. She gets horrified when she sees me eat 4 whole eggs! LOL keep it up though! You are an inspiration even to me :)

Lakeontario. That is the biggest lie, isn't it? I don't know where the idea that it's our age that makes it 'impossible' to lose weight. What a stupid idea. Maybe it's the medicos who are looking for people to give up on themselves so they have more clients? Never surrender!
