This is day 2 of my egg fast. I was 3 lbs down this morning from yesterday morning's weigh in. Most of that I'm sure is water weight lost as my body burns up the stored glycogen I was carrying from the Christmas cookies that attacked without warning. :)
Just finished a bulletproof coffee and drank a quart of water, I'm feeling pretty full at the moment. I plan on having an eggceptional day, hope you have the same!

Glen - it does feel good, having done LCHF before though I expected it. I'd always drop a lot quickly as the excess water gets flushed out, then it slows down. We'll see where I end up by Christmas, my hope is I might get close to 190 and thus have a little cushion/wiggle room over Christmas and the couple days after that we'll be visiting family and traveling.

Yolanda - I needed a jump start / change up to what I've been doing and I could feel myself edging to the point of falling off the wagon big time...I was in a diet funk. I've had great success in the past this time of year with LCHF - it's pretty much cut and dried as far as food guidelines and I needed that plus it's something I can stick to for the relative short term. I'd done some reading up on the egg fast including info. on why the combination of eggs/fat/cheese can jump start you into ketosis and burn fat. I love eggs, love cheese, so it's not a hard thing for me to do. Had a delicious Buffalo Omlet for dinner last night and will do a repeat of it again tonight.

@Mkgui - an egg fast is usually done as a short term way to jump start into ketosis and can result in quick loss of some pounds. Google "egg fast" and as site called ibreatheimhungry will be at the top of the list, you can get good information on it there.

Dang that is eggtastic for sure! I wish I had known you were doing this ... I would have jumped in there with you. I might just start this tomorrow. LOL! I need a kickstart.

Mom just jump right in whenever you're ready. So far so good for me. I haven't been hungry, got plenty of energy, am flushing out my system (translate that to peeing like a racehorse!) and not sick of eggs yet.

Well I suppose I can start this at lunchtime then. LOL! Going to fill up a water bottle now and check out the egg fast list of foods from ibreathimgungry site. I had looked at that before and never did it. Thanks! :)

i love love eggs and have tried to do an egg fast, but DH won't eat eggs for dinner. so the most i've been able to do it egg breakfast and lunch. with the holidays, i got distracted but i want to try again. i'm hoping that if i stick with it long enough, even just 2 meals a day of eggs will help!
