Next-to-Eden Garden Salad

A light and flavourful treat for those warm or cool days, perfect by itself or as a side to any meal.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Peel leaves from a head of romaine lettuce and rinse them under cool water thoroughly.
  2. Rip the leaves (do not cut as this will cause the edges to brown) as a bunch into four sections and place them into a bowl.
  3. Cut off the ends of the vine tomato and slice into 4. Stack the slices and cut into halves or quarters and lay on top of your lettuce.
  4. Following the tomato, cut cucumber into slices then stack the slices and cut in halves or quarters. Sprinkle on your salad.
  5. Sprinkle parmesan cheese over the top your salad.
  6. Drizzle with Italian dressing.
  7. Note: for added protein, consider adding tuna or turkey.
