Cheese Blintz

A low carb, high protein cheese blintz.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Cream ricotta cheese, sour cream, and Splenda. Set aside.
  2. Beat egg, half & half, & protein powder into smooth batter.
  3. Lightly grease bottom of 10" fry pan with olive oil. Melt butter in low-medium heat.
  4. Pour in batter and roll to cover bottom of pan. Watch batter solidify. Gently turn with spatula.
  5. Cook till golden. Place on plate. Spread cheese filling and roll crepe-style.

Not appropriate for induction since it contains ricotta cheese which isn't allowed until OWL.

Try using a teaspoon of vanilla protein powder and you'll absolutely love this recipe.

i tried the strawberry flavored protein powder too which gave it a little extra flavor. overall this receipe was pretty good. my first blintz turned out tough had to adjust cooking time... trial & error. my husband even liked them!

In order to be in line with the Ancient European Diet, you would have to eliminate the protein shake mix.

I hate it when these recipes are posted and we have to play guessing games as to what they mean. How about being more detailed so we can arrive at the same or similar calories, etc.

What does "4 g" of protein shake mix mean? Is this supposed to be 4 cups or scoops or what? What brand have people used?
