jmb3450's Journal, 12 Jul 17

217 lbs. Down a pound, not a lot and need to do better. Today I start logging food again.

When I was in the process of losing most of the weight I'd read other's journals talking about how it was more difficult to maintain the weight loss once their goal was reached, and I didn't understand it. Surely that had to be easier because you could add in more calories and relax a bit. But now I understand, after not doing so great at maintaining, putting some pounds back on, and letting the "stuff" of life get in the way. Maintenance can be a slippery slope and takes continued discipline. I'm determined to get back to where I was and keep the weight off. Thanks to so many here who are inspiring me with your journals and how you push on through difficulties and just keep going forward.

I hear you Jim, I need to come up with a new plan my self and stick to it. I know what calorie numbers I need to do, I need to cut back on my eating especially in this extreme hot weather. Maybe this time around we will both have great success!!!!! :)

Maintenance is tough. Been at goal (not in a long time) several times in life. Tracking is the #1 key (seriously!). When not tracking calories pile up quickly. I still have to measure almost everything I eat (even though I can eyeball). Good to see you back!!!
