I've been pretty much MIA the past couple weeks, was off work most of the time tearing out and replacing ceramic tile floors at home. Removing the tiles was pure hard labor, took 2 days to do it with a hammer, chisel, and prybar. Then a couple days to repair portions of the floor and get it ready for new installation. But the finished job turned out great and saved lots of $$ doing it ourselves (wife and I). Since the kitchen was unusable we ordered out and eating was not on plan. But it's a wash as I burned enough calories to offset some less than good food choices, no weight gain as a result. Back to logging and I'll post a weight this weekend. Here's before/demolition/after pics of the kitchen floor. We also did a bathroom.

Wow, congrats on getting it done. I've done some tile work in the past and I never want to do it again. Well done...

Do you do contract work? It looks great!

Thanks everyone. No contract work, we'd starve! Takes me twice as long as a contractor would to get the job done but at least it's done correctly.

Aw, Jim! You should have called. I love destroying stuff. I've never tiled. I'd love to learn. Oh, well. Opportunity missed.
