Fritzy 22's Journal, 15 Jan 23

I didn't think I would do it, but I managed to lose 1 pound for the 2nd week in January. My plan is to post my weight on Sundays. The 1st was a Sunday so it makes sense to me. I lost 5.4 pounds the first week and struggled during the 2nd week. Didn't think it would happen. I had been down during the week as much as .4 pound and up close to a pound. But this morning, at this time, before coffee, there it is, exactly one pound. I want to lose a minimum of one pound each and every week which will take focus and willpower. Can't say "I lost 5 pounds in week one so I've got 5 weeks to lose another".

Made home made chicken and vegetable soup and finished the last of it yesterday. I'm finding I need to run to the grocery store 2 to 3 times a week to keep vegetables and fruit in the house. One of my New Years resolutions is to buy something from the produce department every time I go to the grocery store. It's too easy to never buy vegetables or fruit. The last trip I bought a yellow onion and some mushrooms. Maybe I'll have scrambled eggs with mushrooms today.

The weather forecast is looking better. After Wednesday no rain is expected until the week I have my hair appointment at the end of the month! Rain today and/or tomorrow. It's hard to keep track of all the storms. Lots of thunder and lightning yesterday (or maybe it was the day before) and even some hail. One or two of the cats looked a little concerned with the thunder. Bobby ignored it.

We spend most of our time in the produce section of the store. Love all of the fruits and veggies.

Thanks Daddy? What will I do when the rain stops? Cleanup what I can in the yard and I owe Bobby about a dozen walks

Thanks Morticia, the produce department in the little store is small but it has just about everything. Not much room so avocados, any melons are outside by the door

Glad to hear you are sticking to your plan and it's working! We had rain yesterday but today is clear and crisp. I think rain is returning next week. 💜

Thanks Diana - the plan is evolving as I figure out what I can realistically continue to do. I think coffee is back as my morning drink, even with sugar. We are getting some rain today, not much but enough to stay inside. I think Wednesday is,the last day of rain, at least in the 10 day forecast
