I was preparing my lunch of stir fried vegetables when my sister called and asked if I wanted to go to the new casino with her and her husband. I said yes, to get out of the house for a couple of hours. I had to take half of my lunch with me in the car. Ate it on the 30 minute drive to the casino. My brother in law hadn't been there yet. Glad I ate before we got there. They went to the buffet for lunch and a buffet was the last thing I needed to see. I won $100! So a nice visit. Yesterday was day 1 of the challenge I signed up for to walk at least 1 mile a day. Around 4pm I realized I hadn't walked yet so I went out just before 4:30 and think I did a mile. Had to be sure to be home before it got dark, there are no street lights in my neighborhood. On the way home there was a doe walking towards me on the same side of the street. Wish I'd had my camera. As we got close to each other I crossed to the other side of the street so she wouldn't run away. We both just kept on walking.

Thanks Liv, Shirfleur, Erika and Tatauu - the casino was a nice break from just staying at home. I've been there 3 times since it opened in November. This was a nice win - $100 will pay for my housekeeper one time. I don't have a housekeeper in my budget! The walk at dusk was nice - I usually walk in the mornings.

Thanks Bella-it was a nice day. Glad I got outside for the walk. Thanks Melissa - I almost always see deer when out walking, but usually they keep their distance because Bobby is with me. I didn't take him on this walk. And yes, the last thing I need to see is a buffet full of things I am not supposed to eat!
