Debbie Cousins's Journal, 23 Nov 19

Well, the weight just continues to go up. The scary thing is that I don't have a number that I think of as "THAT'S ENOUGH!" When I was in the 170's, I thought I would never get back into the 190's. I gave away all my too-big clothes in the spring and summer - boxes and boxes and boxes of them! Now, things are tight, but I can still squeeze into them, and I refuse to buy bigger sizes. I have a $100 gift card for Catherine's (a "fat lady" store, where I was buying size "Zero X, 0-X" I can still wear those, but the 1X's are more comfortable. I think I'll use the card to just buy bras, undies and pajamas, and maybe a sweater. Through the weekend, they are having a BOGO 75% off sale on those items, so I'd get more bang for my buck.

I've GOT to get back on track! I know it won't happen until after Thanksgiving, though. Dangerous waiting yet another week to get back on the wagon, and I don't truly know that I will be able to do it even then. I just have NO will-power lately. When I wake up in the morning, what gets me out of bed is thinking of what "good" (BAD!) thing I can eat when I wake up.

I hate that I have been such a terrible "example" of a "leader" lately! I continue to sponsor the weekly challenges, because I know they are really helpful to a lot of people who are doing GREAT on them! I just feel so hypocritical that I'm not doing the things myself though.

And, I'm SOOO tired of complaining all the time! I should be leading a victorious life! By God's grace, I will recover soon!

Hear hear! You are just used to this WOE. When you get back on track, your body will have to adjust again. It might be tough for a few days. I am proud of you for staying with FS through this slump. Give it up to God! Prayers are with you. :)

Every day is a new beginning. I look outside and see its all frosty 🥶 and cold, but rather than focus on the weather, instead I choose to marvel at the last oranges and reds on the last leaves 🍁 of my Japanese maple tree. There’s untold beauty in nature and I’m lucky to be here. Hugs to all and have a wonderful day!

Weight loss is proportionate to people's consistency and dedication. You know what to do. Good luck.

One day at a time. Don't beat yourself up. Just get back on track. You're human.

No way are you a terrible example!! So you can stop with that way of thinking. You are lovely and caring and, by this problem, you're just showing you're human!! Never give up. Why not try reading diet books or listening to podcasts! SOMETHING might light that fire ;)

You can do it....eat lots of turkey!!! I've bought some clothes from Thredup....really not bad pricing for used clothes since still planning on losing more. I finally got my head shot before and after pictures posted.....take a look...

Hey! Debbie don't be so hard on yourself..we all go through these things. I am also going through one now...but the best part is... time to self evaluate and start over. As I look at it "its a lesson to a redo and correct the errors and bad habits that creep back into our life." That's what a leader does..;No Surrender P.S. i will sign up again this wk.

Hang in there! We all have moments when life convinces us that its just too hard and we given in. Maybe keeping the old saying in mind... Never put off until tomorrow what you can do today!!! Could be your (our) mantra. So, rather than wait until after Thanksgiving to start something new, start today and by Thursday, you will have four good days under your belt. Then you will not feel so back if you allow yourself a little reward for four successful days. :)

That's enough Debbie, now you can get back on track. Easy does it.
