jmb3450's Journal, 01 Feb 18

I'm into the 3rd week since I got back on the right path with eating, so far I've been doing LCHF. It's amazing the difference that just eating better and cutting out the crap I had been eating makes. Physically and mentally there is a huge difference. I can tell inflammation is way down in my body because the aches and pains are much less, including chronic issues. I'm starting to feel the difference this is making...some positive changes looking in the mirror and clothes fit better. Mentally I'm sharper, more focused, and outlook is greatly improved.

If anyone is in the position I was, having fallen off the wagon and wanting to get back on and participate here again, but ashamed to publicly admit your're failing, please don't let that stop you from doing what you need to do. It's a false sense of pride and you only fail if you give up. This is a wonderful, supportive community and most are here because we have a shared commonality of issues with food and weight. Be a part, become involved, and get on the right track. You'll be glad you did.

I'm happy to hear you are making progress. I agree with you in challenging others to get back on the bandwagon. I also encourage those who are getting close to their goals to follow through and get it done. The last ten pounds are the hardest to loose but the most rewarding. Let's keep logging and tracking our way to success...

So happy for you, Jim! I know you feel so much better. I am in week 2 and already see a small difference in my face. Less bloat. Our fellow warriors are the best ... for sure!

Definitely agree with the above post and yours was spot on... I too began the keto way of life similar to you I'm 3 weeks in tomorrow and I m still a newbie..Tons of research on myself and tons of reading, learning... listening and giving of myself too ...so much to retain it can become exhausting trying to figure out my feeling better lifestyle.. your going to put hours in this new plan imo to do this the correct way.I do feel for me that my biggest challenge will be to cross over from my mind set that its not a quick fix...but to perceive it now as... this my lifestyle.

Been there, failed there! 🤷🏻‍♀️fell off for months with health issues and weight gains and depression and so ashamed to admit I was failing to everyone! 🤦🏻‍♀️But people were wonderfully supportive when I came back as I got better and chastised me for not staying around while I was depressed. (I didn’t want to depress everyone else.) But they were upset because I wasn’t allowing myself to be supported! 🤷🏻‍♀️

I am right there with you Jim. The wagon was so far ahead of me, I thought I would never get back on it. But I did, and I am glad.

I, too, am at the 3 week mark back in as well. I question myself when I fall off and then get back into it, “Why, oh why?”. Sharryanna, yes you will get to feeling better. One of the things I noticed in looking back in falling off the wagon, I had stopped logging in and reading all the good news and hearing how some had slipped but got back on it. I personally need the motivation from you all and know that I can do this. Thank you for being there.
