Feeling kind of sick, low, depressed. I thought I was coming down with the flu or something, but now I think it may be a Celiac flair up/reaction. I had a couple of bites of risotto at a festive meal on Monday, thinking it was made from rice, but it turned out to be faro, which is a heritage wheat. Oops! My response to wheat is that it causes depression and brain fog. I've been on the couch for two days, unable to motivate. Wow! Strong stuff. I'm usually so careful about wheat, but this one snuck up on me. I was diagnosed with Celiac a few years ago. Generally, I feel so much better without gluten. This is a harsh reminder of the constant struggles I used to deal with.

So sorry to hear that you are under the weather...and especially due to some sneaky food. I spend a greater part of my day reading labels to avoid a whole slew of must have nots..hope you feel better tomorrow. Saying a little prayer for speedy recovery.

Thanks everyone! Eating very low carb and no gluten is important for my mental health. This is just a reminder to be vigilant in caring for my own well-being. Weight loss is only an outer sign of improving over all health. The consequences of straying are serious.
