Steven Lloyd's Journal, 20 Apr 16

So I've been stuck in a comfortable "maintaining" rut these last three weeks, working just hard enough and eating "a nice comfortable amount" to stay at my "set" weight but not enough to actually lose.

Earlier today I was having a small conversation regarding my "plateau" with a good buddy when I realized what I was doing...wow, what a mind numbing revelation, how sometimes complacency and comfort can be our own worst enemy...so part two.

Part 2:
Thankfully I was on a small fast from the night before, so I just extended it 6 hrs, had a light supper and hit the elliptical. I will be attempting to lose 1.5 to 2 pounds or more of fat and carb/bloat water in the next 7 to ten days or less. Wish me luck, I'll keep you all posted!

I've also updated my before picture (it is scary) and after picture, taken a few days ago...Both taken in or near Kailua Kona, HI, USA.

Thanks again to all my good buddies, you guys are the best!!!
Take care and have a great week all!!

Before - Beach Pic, After - gym both near Kailua Kona, HI:

Miaayala, stay the course, don't let a plateau become a gain, keep on keeping on, and you'll feel and see changes...even if the scale is stuck.

Your transformation is astonishing! Great work!! I think time is key to lose weight and plateaus are unavoidable but defeatable (if such a word exists...).

Thnx Jim!!...you know (as I've said before) that you and others here have been a great inspiration for me too along the way! The before pic was June 2014...I would have been about the same or slightly heavier in late July 2015 when I signed on here...had to change the diet and get serious about losing some weight due to future health concerns (type 2 DB). I also usually thinned out a bit in winter...maybe 10 lbs from skiing ...you also wouldn't know it from the before pic, but I carried the weight pretty well and still had great cardio, core and leg strength/endurance even at that weight. I was a top level skier too at that weight, but that "old Steve" would really have a tough time keeping up with the "new Steve".
