Arrrrgh....cursed ice cream and my inability to have just a little, or even just a normal serving. Up a pound and a half overnight due to indulging in some at my mom's house last night. Weigh in is tomorrow so I've got some flushing out to do.

It happens, just don't stress over it. The key is to get back on your plan and keep moving forward.

The crazy thing is that I still had a calorie deficit yesterday, and I'm more confident now in my calories burned since they're coming from my fitbit device. But I've consumed too many carbs this week and that's the way I end up shooting myself in the foot so to speak as far as progress. Too many carbs and my body holds on to water.

Yes - ice cream can be hard - I have not indulged yet this summer - but there will be one day when I allow it to happen!

ANd yes - the carbs are killer! I dropped way down this last few days and saw a loss - if I go up a bit, I stay the same or go up and down for a week!

have you tried yonanas? frozen bananas in a food processor with come cocoa powder. It tastes like ice cream and has the same consistency. The only down side is if you make a bunch ahead of time it is harder to scoop than ice cream.

Bananas also have a ton of carbs - but maybe more healthy

Yes! Definitely try frozen banana ice cream. Just freeze chopped bananas. you have to make it just before you eat it otherwise it has a slight funny taste to it as well. If you make it with almond milk and a little vanilla extract as in addition its so yummy!! this is my go to whenever I have an ice cream craving :)

Thanks for the suggestions - I have a magic bullet dessert machine and often I'll use it with frozen fruit, berries, bananas, and greek yogurt to make a nice sorbet treat and eat that as an evening snack. I don't buy ice cream for home because I can't handle it, I'll eat it until it's gone. However end of the year stuff at work this week and then going to my mom's for dinner last night has been my downfall...especially with some good ice cream available. My mom has like 10 flavors of the good stuff in her freezer, I know it's in there, and if I get into it watch out. I've eaten enough of that kind of stuff to stall my weight loss this week, we'll see how my weigh in goes tomorrow.

Ten flavors in her freezer? Well, perhaps mom can visit you at your house next time. And serve fresh strawberries for dessert instead. Just keep the calories low for the next couple of days and you'll be fine.
