Just get up and walk down the hall and back, or around the office. Any time you can, escape outside and circle the building. When I was cleaning the church last summer with DH I always got done with my part first so I got up and walked the halls every 20 minutes.

Love the throwing balls!!! We get these emails from our wellness area telling us to get up and move around every 1/2 hour, do squats at our desks, stand up and work at our computers etc--it's not allowed... We are basically to stay seated unless we have a specific reason to be up. I try to run to the rr or to the break room to get a drink.often; but we only get 15 min a day to do that, besides our 1/2 hr lunch and one 15 min break.

Love your entry and I, too, would love to throw things at my boss at times...only problem is, my boss is my hubby...afraid that might carryover into our homelife! Gave me a couple of chuckles envisioning the scenario....

Draglist our wellness program at work has that as well, but we cannot follow it. So strange in my opinion.

That is a fabulous idea Draglist. I am going to do that right now to remind me to drink water. I have a standing station so I already wiggle jiggle and hop around lol. Best thing ever those standing stations, I never understood why more workplaces don't have them.

Draglist, I do it anyway, but no, it's really not allowed. They say it's distracting. I work in an incoming call center for a transfer agent for mutual funds. They don't hassle me much because I've been there for longer than anyone else and I'm the oldest one in the area. The messages we get say every 30 minutes. I'm going to bring that up in a meeting shortly. Grins I will print a screen shot.

We have wireless headsets. They switched from the corded ones so we could move around. Nope, to easy for the people on the incoming calls to hear info re: account numbers etc. They updated the entire floor, actually moved us to a remodeled ine, have a supposedly super noise blocking white noise system, it doesn't work... mmmmmm
