jmb3450's Journal, 12 Jan 15

Held my weight pretty good over the weekend, a smidge over 215 lbs this morning. Not bad considering a couple glasses of wine and indulging in some pistachios while watching football yesterday. Maintained a good calorie deficit each day and things are a little backed up in the bathroom department but I do expect some relief shortly, probably TMI.

Didn't start the day good by giving in to temptation first thing, somebody brought in homemade chocolate chip cookies and I ate one. Sure was good but a waste of calories. Things are back under control, no worries, food is planned out accordingly.

My pants were getting too baggy again so I'm into 36's now but only have 1 pair, the ones I've got on now. Going to stop by Kohl's on my way home to return a pair I received as a Christmas gift, too big, so hopefully will find something there so I can have a couple pairs of better fitting pants. That'll have to do for a bit, money is tight after Christmas. I was wearing 42's when I started last May so six inches smaller in waist size so far. Shirt size has gone from 2XL to large also.

Exercise is going well. I set the bike on manual, pedal at about 16mph and adjust tension to keep my heart rate at 120 the first 20 minutes, 125 the next 15 minutes, and the last 10 minutes 135 to 140bpm so I'm finishing at about 80% of my maximum heart rate. When I started out I could accomplish that at resistance setting of 3, now it takes setting 5 to 6, so stamina is increasing. Starting to do more with strength training little by little, I was noticing last night my biceps seem to be smaller than they used to be and I've got some loose skin in my upper arms. So once I have some funds I will be looking to get some weights, even if its'just a set of dumbbells.

That's it...more than I'd intended when I started typing. Have a great week, let's push hard to make January a productive month toward reaching our goals.

Don't you love getting into a smaller waist pants? I got up to 34's again. Shooting for the 32's again in a couple months. Don't worry too much about Rocker's frog ass comment. Apparently it's her 'little' obsession. *smirk*

Been a long time since I seriously lifted weights and I need to be careful now since my fall from the roof caused some back issues, but I do plan on doing what I can and making it part of my routine as time goes on. Thanks everyone for the support.

I feel there's an explanation due here. Please understand there are four sizes involved in pants sized 32 and 34. There's 32s, then 32s with a muffin top, then 34s, then 34's with a muffin top. After that of course, there's FatSecret.

NM - and then there's 32's and 34's with the expandable waists! Don't need them anymore which is cool.

Sound like a bunch of women justifying size change. ROFLMAO.

Too funny! You are so correct on the additional sizes! I have found the 'stretched to my limit' size in my work pants lately so I am back at it. Losing this last 15 pounds for the last time!

I'm so confused. What is frog ass?

IC.... ready? Look at a man's side profile. Has a belly but no butt. Lacking the butt is the frog ass. Bet you never look at another man the same again.

Instantcrazy, if I had a picture of my ass I'd post it as an example....actually there IS a picture of my naked ass we put as the wallpaper on my sister's phone a couple years ago, a result of too much eggnog consumed at Christmas. Not that anyone want's to see a picture of it. But...think of what a frog's ass looks like - all leg and body but no ass. Evidently that's what happens to us old guys and it get's worse as we loose weight. :(

Ok now I'm MORE confused. Your SISTER'S phone? no no no no. I see the frog profile now. lol

IC - my wife and SIL talked me into it, lol. There was more to it but I don't remember, it was funny at the time at least. :)

Contrary to NM's comment, I encourage all men to work the glutes in order to not become a member of the frog ass club.
