Kielbasa for dinner but once again I’m reminded of just how many calories these things have!

I love kielbasa but think it may have contributed to one of my gallbladder attacks the week after Thanksgiving. Went to a breakfast buffet and had kielbasa, ham, bacon, sausage - all the processed meat my doctor told me not to eat. Most people have no trouble with gallstones. I love your food pictures even though I currently can't have most of the meat you post.

That does look good. :0) Fritzy, I'm supposed to stay away from nitrates and processed meats too. It's hard and I'm mostly successful. I like turkey, but no turkey sausage, etc. RM buys turkey sausage now, and I can definitely say no. If Draglist had that kielbasa in the room with me, I'm not sure I could say no. :0)

Binky - I'm surprised no one talks about nitrates any more. I have 2 reasons now to stay away from processed meats - inflammation and gallstones. I succeed most of the time, except when at breakfast buffets.

I eat kielbasa periodically but it is really high in sodium, fat. A major processed food . Keto people, I guess, can just eat all the salt they want as long as they diligently adhere to Keto but it also can leave some people to be prone to GB issues
