Keyten, I can still enjoy a warm summer downpour! I've run around a lot with my kids in the rain stomping in puddles and getting drenched to the skin, but... This cold, I'm going to last for months, kind of rain makes me want to move to Cali! I'm going to have to decrease my calories by hundreds because I'll no longer want to go on my ten plus mile walks. 🙄 I'm just sulking today! 😁 I'd go for a hot tub today!!

Kristin, you are the best! I am hoping against hope to do a road trip in the early spring to Cali with my man. My big, 6'2" son might starve to death on such rations that could fit on a single plate that size, but I'd be happy to savor a tea saucer full of your food! 💕💕💕

Melissa, as a Spaniard from Barcelona and now living in Madrid, I’m not used and don't enjoy at all to colder, rainy days. I can totally relate to how you feel and would definitely also have such a delicious, comfort breakfast. But lately, my attitude has changed. I’ll tell you a short story about it if you don't mind. While visiting Northern Norway in the winter some years ago, I learned a very interesting phrase: ”there is no such thing as bad weather, only inappropriate clothing”. When I returned home, I bought the most beautiful, warm waterproof footwear and coat I could find. Now, going out in bad weather is almost a pleasure, an occasion to enjoy that nice outfit. 😄💕

Love your pics and story! I can feel it through your writing and I wish I could taste it. LOL. Are you going to walk that far while lifting weights? Just wondering- not critiquing- just being nosey. :p

Thanks all! It was yummy... I'm still freezing! 😁 I think it is the rapid temperature drop, clamy feel, and not wanting to turn the heat on for the first time... Seems so final... Like the summer is actually gone! 😁

Eva!!! I love your comments! Yes, having the right clothing makes the difference! I'm currently wrapped up in a down blanket! What a lovely lesson to learn, and to do it in Norway!!! My daughter literally just was in Barcelona last week! She is 23 and spending both her hard earned time and hard earned money on a celebration, summer vacation in Europe after graduation from university. She loved, loved your city!!!! She was staying with friends of friends there for just over a week, but pretty much was exploring the city alone. I've seen so many pictures! What a beautiful, beautiful place! Currently she is in Florence, Italy with my husband who joined her for two weeks before they both come home. Someday I'm going to Spain!! I can't wait!

Princess, not nosy at all! 😁 💕💕No, there is no way I will be be able to walk that long regularly. Days are getting shorter and I'm busier. When it gets dark at ten, there seems like so much more time to walk. I must condense my workout time, thus I will go to a gym. I've started to run more since I'm not as worried about my knees with less weight on them, but then I'm only going three miles or so. I did walk 12 miles yesterday, but I think it will be one of my last long walks for the season.

I am so glad your daughter enjoyed Barcelona! And I am sure she will be loving Florence. I haven't been there yet, but all of Italy is beautiful. Wouldn't it be nice to have an international FS meetup in Spain?

Thank God- I didn't want to have to step up my game! 😆💪🏻

Yes!! A meet up of FS friends in Spain! 😁 Sounds wonderful. Italy is so amazing. They were in Rome for a while before heading to the relative calmness of Florence. Tomorrow they will take a day trip to Sienna. Maybe that is why I feel cold... Looking at pictures of my people in toasty Italy!! 😁

Thanks mm&i! Switz, I finally, reluctantly turned on the gas fireplace. Low is going to get down to 50 tonight! I'd love for you to visit! I'd share the cool!

Has your rainy season started? How long does it last? I always look forward to rain, for several days in a row because then I can stop worrying about fires. The last 2 years there were big fires in October and November. I'm hoping the rainy season starts early this year.
