Walmart is today...

Gonna try an do a zwift ride after lunch..depends on energy level by that time...

Ulcer flare up..had to cut all Spicy stuff outta food..like taking the sugar out of my food plan when I first changed what I was eating...bland it is...

Only 45s today...rain on Thursday...for sure..but doesn’t look like any snow anytime soon...winter is odd anymore..more rain..less snow...to bad the temps can’t hover a little warmer as well...

Seen people out on bikes yesterday...I should of went for a short ride..but 50..is still cold when the wind is passing by...regardless of the layering...

Uggh Walmart, LOL the thought of going into that store gives me indigestion. Fortunatley they have so many around here, the crowds are not that bad. I try to limit my visits to them

My daughter hates Walmart too. It's a way of life out here. It's that or higher priced grocery stores. I am thinking your flare up goes back to the breaded chicken and then the cookies, Wannab. Both have wheat and both were processed foods. Make your own ... you will be fine. No more prepackaged stuff.

Good question about the butter, Scalewatcher. If muffin recipe calls for salt, then you should be baking with unsalted butter. I don't know how you live on 100 bucks every 3 weeks. That's amazing!

Thx Mom, That's my thinking also. However, there are times I hesitate before I add butter wondering if I've chosen the correct type of butter.

Scaleatcher, the general rule in baking is use unsalted butter .. especially when salt is in the recipe. The idea is to control the salt in the baking. I learned that on King Arthur Flour site. I see a lot of recipes don't tell you what kind of butter to use. So if it has salt, I use unsalted. Otherwise, I use salted which is what we buy generally because that is what my husband wants. 😉
