This week's been one of my less disciplined weeks regarding carbs. I have a grocery pick-up scheduled today so that'll get me back on track. Mentally, I'll have to get myself back on track. But that meatloaf sandwich from the diner that I went to for dinner last night was A++.

I re-calculate my macros at the end of every month. As weight goes down, I've adjusted my macros to make sure that it all lines up. Eating the same amount of calories and nutrients when I'm 5-7 pounds lighter than the month before would likely result in overeating.

I've also decided to increase my net carb intake to 25g as I'd like to incorporate some more fruits in to my life and not stress too much about going over my carb limit. I fluctuate between being able to hit or missing my protein goal. Meal planning is still a bit difficult for me because of a limited space thing. I'm not very used to cooking out meals for an entire week; best I can manage is 2-3 days max.

But as someone who hasn't been able to really stick to a diet, I'm very surprised and pleased that it's working! My trainer mentioned that consistency is key; it's better to be 80% consistent with some flexibility than to try and be 100% consistent all the time when starting out. This week's been a bit of a mess regarding consistency, but it's serving as a mental slap upside the head to get back on tarck!

Took some time off over Family Day to just relax and slow down. Apparently, that means my immune system takes a vacation too. :/ Was sick over the weekend, but thankfully bounced back by Monday evening.

Finally did some grocery shopping, so I've managed to expand my options for cooking food. I finally got some almond and coconut flour in, so I'm going to try making fathead dough and see if I can't get something resembling bread back in to my life. God I miss garlic bread...

Otherwise, I've been pretty good at sticking close to my diet over my vacation (also probably because I eat at a deficit during the weekends) and with some help from a friend, managed to make something almost like alfredo sauce to go with my chicken. I think I'm going to keep that in my rotation a fair bit because it was pretty good.

Yesterday, my trainer officially told me I'm back to deadlifting past my own weight lol. Since I went on a rehab/prevention routine for the latter half of 2018, I haven't kept track of my DB/Squat weights because we weren't doing any heavy lifting. But as of yesterday, I can deadlift 75kg (165lbs) for 3 reps, 5 sets. \o/
