This week's been an adventure in fail diet.
Due to rotating shifts at my job, I've been on the 7AM-3PM shift for the past three weeks (today is my last day for this month on this shift!! YAY!) and that makes for a difficult breakfast situation.
I need to up my game in terms of "breakfast" meal prep. It's breakfast in the sense that it's my first meal of the day. I'm doing grocery shopping this weekend, so it'll be important that I get better at this post-haste!
Other than that, I'm back to doing normal back squats (no more safety bar!) and slowly increasing my load to my previous 1RM with my trainer. Playing it safe due to my back injury, but we're getting there and I'm excited. I'm still trying to pick 2 reasonable, achievable goals for myself for the year 2019 in terms of fitness.
My constant issue is approaching diet as part of fitness (not just exercise). I figure if I can get into that mindset and STAY there, it will benefit me long term. And long term, overall fitness is what I want.

TFW you're sleep deprived, lose track of times and appointments and then just get so tired you can't be bothered to cook.
That was my day yesterday. Nearly late to work because I fell asleep around 12:30, woke up at 1AM due to a migraine, fell back asleep at 3:30 and woke up at 5AM to get ready for work. Made it in only 5 minutes after 7. Late, but reasonable.
Missed an appointment with my trainer because I didn't realize I fell asleep when I got home from work and only woke up when she texted me. Thankfully, she was somewhat chill about it and we rescheduled for this afternoon.
Ended up ordering in food because I was hangry and just not at all in good shape. Bit of a fail there, but it seems it was just one of those days. Today isn't much better, but at least I slept more. A minor victory!
Gonna make sure that these last few days and the weekend, I commit to my diet (I've been pretty damn good except this week) and get out for another run!

While I've been tracking my macros and my weight just to have the concrete numbers to use as fixed targets, my personal progress tracking is simple: can I fit in to my old pants?
As of this week, answer is yes. :) I have been doing a closet clean-up due to my body changing; the strength training I've been doing and gaining weight due to bad lifestyle habits, I mourned having to donate my pants. But as of this week, I fit back in to my jeans and I'm pumped! I hate clothes shopping, so having to buy MORE clothes just gives me a headache.
Now I can wear my jeans again! Here's hoping that hitting my target weight doesn't mean I have to buy smaller jeans. I just want to wear my old ones with a smidge of give in the thighs.
