Woke up in a poor mood today. Just feeling very negative with a big helping of 'what's the point.' Yeah. I used to be a fighter so willpower got me through a lot back then and I'm hoping it will here too. Sipping my broth and trying to get out of this brutal mindset.
On the plus side I weighed in at 308 this morning. The number is still going down.

I had a weak moment today. After dinner, I was full and satiated but found myself watching a practice basketball game on tv and fighting the urge to snack absentmindedly.
I stood in the kitchen and looked at the ice cream. I knew it would make me feel sick even tho I could have afforded it's calories so I walked away from the freezer. Opened the pantry and saw a bag of popcorn I could also afford calorie wise but like I said I felt full already and it was really just a bored urge to eat and so I didn't make the popcorn.
I grabbed the box of oxo soup and made a 2 cup (20 calorie) mug of it. I got away from my usual snack urge by drinking it. It may seem stupid but I'm happy I did. I must cut this weight and the oxo thing is keeping me full and now killing my cravings too. I didn't do a weigh in today so here's where I have to say I think I'm still on the right track.

I'm finding my groove on my new way of eating. No solid food til dinner sounds hard but so far it hasn't been. I'm drinking Knorr oxo chicken broth for breakfast and lunch. it's basically flavoured water and keeping me from being hungry. The last couple days I've been eating boiled cabbage with sliced corned beef lunch meat and a few pickled beets on the side as an approximation of one of my favorite restaurant meals. Either way, doing this I can pretty well have what I want for dinner and still be below my calorie threshold for the day. It seems to be working thus far.
