crankybuzzard's Journal, 25 Oct 17

I'm still out here, just been VERY busy with work, having our home remodeled, and just dealing with life things. But, all is working out really well overall and I'm loving life!

Oh, what a difference almost 60 pounds gone can make on a body!

Twice a year I have to walk the entire perimeter of our facility's property, and I have ALWAYS dreaded it! It's about 1.5 miles all the way around, the terrain is rough, and it has always made me hurt physically and huff and puff less than half way in.

Yesterday was absolutely beautiful weather wise, and it was time to walk the place. I was about half way around and realized that I wasn't breathing hard! Then I noticed that my knees weren't hurting! I pressed on, and at the finish, I was almost ready to do it again! I may do it again today just because I can!

I'm loving the way the new me feels and is starting to look!

2 days until Friday folks, let's make the best out of it!

funny how we notice the little things that use to stop us from being able to do things we are now able to do...

WOW! Go you! You've inspired me to start powerwalking again. I've always loved it, and it's been too long since I did any. Thank you!

I`m really glad you can feel the difference and that you are happy going through this journey with the weight loss. Some people feel depressed but you are dealing with it really well, and of course you probably look better.

I learned a LONG time ago that the only way to go through life is with a can do attitude and push forward. I get frustrated and such, but it doesn't take me long to jump right back in with both feet and push even harder.

What I find really fulfilling, thus far in this journey, is that it really hasn't been "work". Yes, I've made some lifestyle changes, and I don't eat my comfort foods anymore, but I'm enjoying my eating times and I've opened up to a whole new menu that I really hadn't tried before, salmon pan cooked in olive oil is outstanding, veggies "fried" in coconut or sesame oil are amazing to me. I should also mention that I can still have my hobby foods, such as cured meat products and BBQ. "Work" begins next week when one of my employees gets me started on my 3 times a week workout at the local gym! He's a trainer there, and I'm sure he'll make me do as well for him as I expect him to do for me.
