Awesome pics...great food...I make healthy ranch for my grandbabies with greek yogurt, spices, some mayo and lemon juice...they eat their veggies with no problem, just with ranch! That cheesecake looks INCREDIBLE!

The cheesecake was a big hit. I used the recipe for New York Cheesecake posted on screwedonstraight dot net. I omitted the Torani syrup and used a little extra Xylitol. This blogger has a recipe section and you can find the recipe filed under "C." I will make it again, but not often. I wanted to take more pictures as my dinner progressed, but I ended up with three burners and an oven going, plus roast beef resting on the table and grandkids tearing lettuce as I pulled apart chicken whilst avoiding burns. Beautiful chaos! My daughter was so happy with her birthday dinner! Service was awkward. I need to work that out, better.

Is something in the crockpot?

Yes. Easiest thing ever! I rub salt all over a chicken and plunk it breast down for six hours on low. Falls off the bone and cooks in its own juices. I reserved the liquid, added more broth to it and pulled the tender meat from the bones. The meat and broth go on the stove top where I bring it to a boil and thicken it with corn starch. A little pepper, and it's good to go. I usually serve it over biscuits, but it's great on wild rice, too. Draglìst, I looked for your recipes on fs, but couldn't find them. I will tighten up my food log tomorrow. For now, I just plugged in generic cheesecake and biscuit as placeholders.

Hasn't worked for me either, Bill, no matter what I've tried.

I've read complaints written by others about the recipe widget.
