Here's a quick note since I haven't written in a while. I like to call it....
When an Old Shirt feels like a New Shirt.
When an old shirt feels like a new shirt, you don't have belly gaps in a button up.
When and old shirt feels like a new shirt, you can raise your arms with out people seeing your belly button.
When a old shirt feels like a new shirt, you give yourself the "Nod of approval" in the mirror.
When an old shirt feels like a new shirt, people at work think it's a new shirt. And complement you on your new shirt and you say "What? This old thing... awww. Thanks!"
When an old shirt feels like a new shirt, you know your headed in the right direction because you know you couldn't wear it before and now you can.
When an old shirt feels like a new shirt, you do a happy dance. Because this means you can probably wear some other "old shirts" and you don't have to spend money on clothes... yet.
When an old shirt feels like a new shirt, you are proud and confident because of the work you put into becoming better.
I am wearing an Old Shirt.

I almost put on one of those old, soon to be new, shirts this morning and thought I'd wait just a little longer so it'll feel really good to wear it. :)

Love it! Some of my old shirts are tunics now. Good thing they are in style :) Other shirts, dresses, etc. don't hang right on me. I'm not ready to start alterations yet. I see me having a yard sale in my future.

Great post! I understand the feeling. I wear scrubs to work, and mine are hanging off me. I just dug out a bunch of scrubs I haven't fit into for YEARS, and it looks/feels like I've got some new duds. Once I started wearing the smaller ones, people at work really started to notice the loss. Here's to old shirts becoming new again!
