I am grateful I have my treadmill. Balance is an issue for me so walking on the road can be iffy. I do attempt on occasion, especially if it's a cool day. You'll get your exercise in. No worries.

Yep or they are made also for people like me who work 12s.. drive 45 min both ways ..and by the time I get home going out after making dinner is just not an option. I was busy running around yesterday so intake was nil until later in evening but I let all exercise go too so today.. like you bufffybear we have rain coming in soon.
Its going to be exercise.. house chores.. exercise etc. being on the run and not planning for it isn't an excuse for me but I do it often... I need it....really need it and I also need tons of toning lol...TONS!! LOL:)

Ellipticals, stationary bikes, treadmills and stair steppers are all good. The key is to pick an activity and do it. Go for it!

It is raining here, too. In those moments I always exercise with some workout DVDs or walk in place with weights. As long as you are moving, it is all good.

Classic - for most roads it is probably not a good idea to walk no matter how good your balance is. I actually have never been on a treadmill but my sister has one and loves it. Hope you have an enjoyable Sunday.

CatHerder - Very true. Unfortunately I am not as consistent as I used to be. Time to change that.

I am lucky that I have piles of equipment in the basement for physical and occupational therapy tools for the boys. So I seriously have no excuse whatsoever for not working out, ever. My workout jackets are hanging off the elliptical though, I HATE that thing. I would rather do anything else. I want to find a wall chart of basic free weight exercises somewhere so I can do some shoulder and chest stuff. It has been mentioned that runners get the arms of wet noodles after awhile, lol.

Yes,Buffy, just crank up your favorite music and just Elliptical ONWARD!!!!
Love your positive attitude. It's raining here also...have been seriously considering walking a 6/10 mile with absolutely no rain gear or hat in PROTEST!!!! Only question is: Who calls Mental Health Services FIRST??...DW or concerned neighbors...LOL...Take care

I wish my mother would accept that she's never going to use her treadmill and give it to me. I hate rain. I REALLY hate snow. And we won't even go into ice! Why oh why did I ever leave California?

Draglist - weights can be dangerous too. My grandson tried to lift one and dropped it on his toe and split the nail.

Leave them on the floor where they belong. Pick 'em up, put 'em down and repeat. And who is allowing grandchildren to play with weights?
