212 lbs this morning so that's 2 lbs of bloat gone from Monday. I worked out in the yard most of the day yesterday, did a fair amount of digging/raking/hauling dirt. FatSecret's calories for exercise are IMO crazy, if I put all the hours in I was out there it tells me I burned over 4200 calories. Would be nice but I don't think it's that high. I decided to get the Fitbit Charge HR as my belated birthday present but it'll have to wait a couple more months as I need the XL band it's not available until hopefully sometime in June, seems strange but I guess it's a supply issue. I believe they're made in Asia. With it I'll have a more accurate idea of what my calorie burn is and can also monitor heart rate during workouts.
I ordered a Tanita body composition scale from Amazon, that should be delivered tomorrow. It'll be nice to start tracking body fat, muscle and fat mass, etc. I took body fat caliper measurements several times last night grabbing as much flesh as I could and also plugged in numbers to online calculators using weight and body measurements. They indicate 19.5 to 21.5 percent body fat. I still suspect I'm higher than that but hopefully taking some measurements on the scale over a few days will give a somewhat accurate measure. It would just be nice to know...the more important thing is to get a trend down in fat and up in muscle mass.

If the fit-bit charge fits the same band as the flex there's a few on Amazon, a friend of mine just ordered a few XL. He does construction and destroys them.
I'm skeert but I want to get a body composition scale. How bad can it be?(famous last words)You will have to let us know how you like it.
You are doing great.

Thanks my friends. Nic I think the charge is a different band than the flex. The fitbit website estimates they'll be available in June, if anyone finds out otherwise please let me know.

Good morning - I have the fitbit force (no longer available), but I got it through amazon.com so you might want to check to see if they have any. I also have a Tanita (the same one Bill has). He told me to weigh everyday at the same time. I think he weighs after dinner, but you might want to check with him. Have a wonderful day, you are doing awesome.

Frankie, thanks for the info. Unfortunately only small and large bands are available right now for the Charge HR, even directly from Fitbit. My scale is out for delivery to me today, I'm looking forward to seeing what it reports. From what I've read the best time to weigh for accurate body composition numbers is before eating dinner and at least 3 hours from the previous meal.
