I’ve had a bad couple of weeks. Had to put my dog down. 12 yo sheltie. Then, both my husband and i got into fenderbenders, 2 different incidents with each of our cars. He drives for ride share and they won’t let him drive until the car is repaired. It’ll be about 5 weeks and there is a $ 2500 deductible, plus it was a hit and run. My husband is one of those people who is hyperactive from 4:00 AM until supper time. He is just miserable 😩 sitting around.
We have international vacation plans for Oct 5th. I’m embarrassed to say, we accidentally cut up our current passports. We were trying to destroy our expired ones, and somehow got them mixed up. I can honestly say, “What dummies”. We have an appointment on Oct 4th to see if there is anything we can do to salvage our vacation. Otherwise, we aren’t going anywhere. I can Imagine what this is going to cost. I’ve decided that we’ll come home through Mexico, and cross the Rio Grande. I’ve got all my COVID vaccinations cards and COVID negative test results, and real ID issued by our State that says I am who I claim to be. And of course, the old expired passports. We’ve paid lots of taxes since we were 16 yo. My husband is a Viet Nam vet. We can’t be any more American. We vote. (Probably for the wrong team)
THE WORST PART OF ALL THIS IS THAT I CANT GET MY EATING UNDER CONTROL. Please God, send help.

You've had a lot of progress with your weight already, must be doing something right. As for life troubles, sometimes I think it's better if they come all at once. Yours apparently all come from distraction, there might be a source cause. You don't need to destroy an old passport when it's expired, many people keep them. Since you do have a valid passport in the database, hopefully you'll be able to get an emergency one, valid for a few weeks. Finally, note that lots of people pay lots of taxes in the US without being citizens. Unfortunately, also some veterans are struggling to get citizenship. Better vote for one side than apathetically not vote at all. Enjoy your vacations and forget about life's miseries for some time.

So sorry about your Furbaby! Deepest condolences. The rest is fixable but inconvenient. Hope you get it all sorted out quickly so you can enjoy your fabulous vacation.

Help is here. I thought my last 24 hours were bad but you have me beat. Please focus that this string of events WILL stop. Do what you can on eating, but cut yourself a bit of understand as you are dealing with a great deal. Comforts other than food: a warm shower or bath, cuddling in bed reading a book, give yourself a foot soak, find a coffee shop you have never to and relax with a unique tea. Best to you. 🐕sorry

AAA Passport in DC. DM me if you want the guys number. Super knowledgeable about what can be done and super helpful whether you use him or not. Pre-Covid they could turn around an emergency passport in a few days. Good luck!

Deep breaths Sarah. Sorry you are going through all this. You are eating b/c you are stressed & sad. If you find a little comfort in food that okay. Just dont do too much damage while you are soothing your soul 🤓

We do love our dogs and it sucks that they live such a short time. We do have to let them go, over and over. Well I guess you won't have to worry about kennelling while you are out of the country. I can't image the 'Oh S**t' moment when you realized you had cut up the wrong passports. With enough distance it will become a funny family story, until then, I hope you can get them quickly replaced.

I am so sorry that you had to put your dog down! We did that with out 12 y.o. blue heeler last year, so I can totally empathize with you. Prayers that your passport situation gets cleared up and that you can take and ENJOY your vacation. Best wishes!

Our furry kids touch special places in our hearts. When we have to let them go it is a special heartbreak! Give yourself a little time to heal then remember what's really important. Thankfully no one is physically hurt. Your mind and body will follow in the healing process. Prayers while you work thru it.

Ok people so I'm like Sarah but been diabetic whole life. Our brain constantly says wants food. Cravings are worst especially now starting menopause. I've tried teas herbs all kinds diet pills to stop being hungry. It never stops. I even tried metamucil to fill up stomach but mouth wants food. Anyone have suggestions or product to recommend?

FB login Only going off what worked for me A) clear cupboards of food that is a problem. Let’s say you have chocolate chips for baking but not snacking. Put then in a storage container on a different level of the house, on a high shelf or gift it to a food bank. B) Pre portion foods. Not all foods are off the plan but too much is. For example, I premeasure nuts/seeds into 1.5 oz portions. C) Fill up. Don’t just eat a cup of vegatables, go big (ones that grow above the ground, not corn it is a “c4” grain like sugar and bamboo). Start the day with at least 3 cups. Like 1/2 onion, 2 cups spinach 1/2 peppers and an egg. D) Be ready have low cal fill up options on hand, Flavors for water, celery, spinach, arugala, broth bases, sugar free jello/ pudding, frozen fruit for smoothies E) Hunger goes away if you get enough clean protein and vitamin and minerals, fill up on those things first - and get enough sleep. So sorry. I don’t think I’ve had much of a worse day my whole life! It’s got to get better after that. Really hard to diet on super bad days. Try and be kind to yourself and your husband. Always time to get back on the wagon when your ready. 🥰🥰🥰
