puhpine's Journal, 19 May 14

Monday,

I am going on a limb here, throwing everything i know and believe in into the wind... i am going to set a "target" (drumroll) (ps for those who follow my words, last experiment can be officially called a fiasco)

i weighed in last week at 87.? kilo (191.? pounds)
i dont know what my binging and not-exercising has done to me, and i don't want to find out...

My Target is, to weigh 82.? kilo (180.? pounds) at the beginning of the vacation in 9 weeks.

There you go... Maud set a target ... to try and get this target i am not going to up any weights, keep all weights and exercises just the way they are now... which is approximately one hour of exercise a day, with one day off. Besides that i am going to put my body in serious deficit, meaning i am going to try and eat no more then 1200 kcals a day (but no less then 1000)
Here comes the hardest commitment: i am going to bed every day exactly at the point i am walking to the kitchen to "get something", i will detour and confine myself to my sleeping quarters even if that means staring at the ceiling for hours on end.

it going to be brutal, but i know i can keep it up for one day, or maybe two... (*lol*)

so end of "bulking phase" time for another "cut phase" (*lol*)

today i am pumped up and ready to go.

Good luck! I have also restricted my calories majorly to get weight shifting and it has worked (3 kgs loss in three weeks)...the first few days are always the worst...but stick with it!

Setting the goals are often the hardest part. I'm inspired by your post, and think I'm going to come up with one of my own. Thank you, and keep up the great work.

I know the kitchen always calls to me. I have all my water bottles set up so when I open I grab a flavored water and leave the kitchen. Lots of luck

Good luck. Hang in there. Do watch the ultra low calorie stuff though. You can put your body into "famine" mode and it will try to hang on to everything you do eat. Better to get the right macros for your weight and body fat%, go into slight deficit, and then decrease it from there more slowly. You and I are about the same weight and I'm at 1900 calories and losing fat while retaining/gaining muscle. 1200 calories for people our size is just not a sustainable lifestyle. Don't set yourself up for failure. Best wishes!

We are in about the same place on the scales and my vaca is in about 12 weeks. Facing the same problem.

I wish I could do 1000-1200, find it is hard. I know that for my body weight to be 167 I'd have to eat 1200 calories a day. I'm trying to stick to an avg of 1750 and it's so tough for me. Wish you the best!

Sometimes the 1200 calorie count is what works and for me it did along with exercise..... I've slowly lost 50 pounds starting at 190. 1200 was a good number for me I slowly lost over more than 1 1/2 years. Feel great except for these dang allergies. Paying attention to nutrient dense foods I believe is important.

I look forward to celebrating your progress. It takes a lot of discipline to break out of binge mode but you can and will do this. You can get a lot done in 9 weeks so get focused. I'll try it with you.
