Journal #2 - Lets talk fitness and wildlife attacks!
I have a little extra time before I sprint off to get my son, so I thought I would journal my day thus far. I went to the gym, as planned, and did thirty minutes on the elliptical before I decided I just wasn't feeling it. We've all had those days, right? Just kind of blah, so I decided to call it, and off I went.
On the way home I was wishing I had enough time to get a two mile walk in, but I didn't. Then I thought... I could get a two mile jog in....
After a lengthy argument with myself I decided I was going to go for it. My favorite 2 mile walking trail, jogging edition. Every couple tenths of a mile I thought of reasons why I should stop, but I made it to the one mile point without stopping, and kept on chugging after. As a matter a fact, I didn't stop at all... until I was attacked by a deer. Okay, that's a tad overdramatic, technically it was a stare down. I hollered at her, and she ran off as graceful as ever. I know, we have terrible dangerous wildlife out this way, and I shouldn't be taking chances like that!
The deer accounted for maybe a ninety-second stop, then I took off jogging again, and completed my 2.06 mile jog in 26 minutes. Now I feel like I've accomplished a workout I can be proud of. :-) Hooray Yolanda!
I felt so accomplished, and enthusiastic that it's Friday, that I decided to shower up and wear my hair down. What the what?!?! A woman like me is far too busy for vanity, but not today! Today I am perty lol, hence the new profile picture.
I am bright eyed, bushy tailed, and feeling optimistic about the day as I prepare to head in to work. I hope everyone else is doing well!
