Wish we could do a survey on here. I'm wondering, what are some of your fav songs/music to exercise to? I know running music could be different to weight lifting, which could be different to other exercises. I love being on the treadmill or elliptical (not that I've been on it recently) and listening to "Train." When I'm doing other exercises, I like a different type of music. Anyone want to share?

I have a "Happy List", of just bouncy happy songs. They range a lot... Train is on there, but so is Led Zepplin, Eddie Money and even the Bangles or Ingrid Michaelson ("I just want to be ok"). Pretty eclectic. I usually do the treadmill for 7 songs before I check my time... that ranges from about 22 to 28 mins, usually and I'm almost done. It's perfect! :D

I have an assortment of music, too! I love Metallica, Journey, Aerosmith, Rob Zombie, God Smack, but I also love, Jimmy Buffet, Frank Sinatra, Sara McLaughlin, Bon Jovi--you name it--LOL. I'm trying to make up a list for when I go to the gym. I notice some songs are really great for the treadmill, but not for weight training.

Though I am a big Metal head, Alternative, rock etc type girl, I feel best when I work out to dance, Techno, industrial etc. It just puts my body and mind in the mood. It motivates the heck out of me. Good taste in music:)

I LOVE to dance for exercise, and I LOVE the sound track from Mama Mia to dance to. Some 50s and 60s are good, too. I'm not into the heavy metal and rock stuff, but this other really gets me going...

I like country and western like Road Hammers. The first CD is better to run to than the second one.

I am a HARD ROCK runner... the heavy beats and angry songs keep me going... although being an Vet i do like the Army cadence cd's they keep you at a great pace..

The music that gets me wanting to move is varied but I will say that what pops to my mind right off is the Rolling Stones, Harlem Shuffle, and pretty much anything the Supremes. I also like walking to Bruce Hornsby and the Range.

Anything fast paced. I usually just go to party hits on my slacker app :-)

I'll use just about any classic rock as long as it's not a ballad, somewhat older alternative stuff like Offspring and Eve 6, and a few pop/R&B songs with good pace and energy like Pump It - Black Eyed Peas... Actually, shoot, just look through the songs on the Just Dance games. Those tend to fit the criteria.
