Okay folks... just got through with a plastic surgeon, and he's willing to remove my excess skin on my abdomen. Got a surgical date set for mid-March, and I need to know what y'all have done to prepare for such surgeries.

I had skin removed from my abdomen years ago. I remember just some of the doctors orders, don't take pain meds or anything for several days leading up to the surgery. I'm not going to lie, the recovery was rough, but so worth it when it's over and you see the new you in the mirror.

Congratulations on your continuance dedication for better living..My only recommendation is to use unrefined cold press coconut oil on your skin this will minimize the scaring.. Good Luck with everything.

Congrats on your next leg of your journey. I prepped a week's worth of meals in preparation for the downtime. Do Not rush the heal time. 🙋

I had mine done last April and they took 9.5lbs of skin off. I actually started exercising a lot because I figured if I’m gonna spend a shit ton of money I might as well tone up a bit. Compression bands are absolute must afterwards! I felt so vulnerable without them.

-Netflix/ Amazon Prime movies -Hide the credit cards while on pain meds. I had weird stuff showing up at the house weeks later that I apperantly bought while high on meds lol 😝 Recovery is hard...doc told me it was similar to c-section. I have had 4 c sections so I consider myself a pro lol but it was definitely a harder surgery & you don’t get a cute baby after. Stay positive and remember it will pass!

Oh yeah - agree with Xappie about wearing the compression garments as long (or longer) than the surgeon says - very very helpful with swelling
