Wonton Soup

Delicious pork filled wonton soup.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Cook pork and green onions, stirring occasionally, until pork is brown; drain.
  2. Mix pork mixture, 2 teaspoons filling on center of each wonton skin. Moisten edges with water. Fold each in half to form triangle down and overlap slightly. Moisten one corner with water. Pinch to seal.
  3. Heat 5 cups water to boiling. Add wontons. Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer uncovered 2 minutes (wonton will break apart if overcooked.)
  4. Heat chicken broth, 3 cans water and 1 tablespoon soy sauce to boiling in 3 quart saucepan. Add bok choy. Heat just to boiling.
  5. Place 4 wonton, 1/3 cup of noodle and 1 cup hot broth in each soup bowl.

Hi everyone, Sorry for any confusion on this recipe. The pork filled mixture is only pork and green onion. The ginger, soy sauce, cornstarch, broccoli, broth, 3 additional cans of water, bok choy are all added into the broth. Cook the vermicelli or long thin egg noodles on the side. Yields 4 wontons, 1 cup broth/vegetable mix and 1/3 cup noodles. Hope this clears up any questions.
