newnormal's Journal, 03 Jan 16

Truth, I was hoping for 183.X but I'm ok with this. It's coming off smoothly and I'm feeling good and HEY it's a DROP :) I can't complain about a drop (or it'll feel slighted and tell its friends!).

Today is cold (for here), only 55 right now and my fingers and toes are feeling it. High is only supposed to be 61 so I'm in for a chilly day. That means walking with a jacket ;) Unless it rains all day and then I'll have to get creative. My goal this week is to make 8000+ steps consistently before jumping it up to 9K. Goal is to work my way up to 10K consistently and maybe even 15K if I love it. At this point, I'm getting more movement than I've been getting and in a couple weeks I have to incorporate school work so I don't want to be so ambitious that I give up because I can't make it work.

Today is groceries, making soup on the stove to heat up the house lol, general household stuff. And staying warm. I still have one more video to watch before walking it back to the Redbox (1800~ steps right there!).

Stay warm, stay encouraged, stay focused...set the tone for your week today. And if you see someone without a smile, give them yours.

Enjoy your day buddies...

Well, your post just made ME smile. Thank you for that. And for the encouragement, too :)

That's what I would do also use every opportunity to get the body moving taking the stairs instead of the elevator parking further away from buildings and doing a walk first thing in the morning 6 o'clock comes very early and right now it's been very cold this morning 27 degrees which wasn't so bad it's just the wind blowing keep up the good work

I laughed about your weight losses feeling slighted. I know that feeling. Your weight is off your goal by 1/10 of a pound??? lol You're hilarious. Oh, and it's -18 here. Enjoy your 55 degrees. It's almost that warm in the house. ;)

@north, I know lol. But when the brain wants to see a new number, ANY part of that number will work. ;) We got up to 60 so far and overcast. And the weight losses are like computers...they HEAR you and they lie in "weight" until it's most inconvenient for us to pounce.

I, too, laughed about your weight loss feeling slighted. Isn't tracking steps fun? I don't mean that sarcastically, I actually think it's fun to see what I do increase over time and track progress. It's 5 degrees today (0 degrees with wind chill) where I am (burr). I used to live in California, so I know what you mean by 60° feeling chilly.

@Jill it IS fun. I'm competing against myself mostly but having other people "beat" me that are in my range is...motivating lol. Can't let them win. If I know someone typically does way more than me, I don't sweat it though. @Unamoyer, I sooo feel you. WAY too cold. My dad (CNY) is having the same weather and I'm completely ok with my 60 degrees in comparison!
