Surprised (but not mad lol) at the drop, ended up making blackberry muffins yesterday and indulged in one. Thought it might stall me but I won't be having another one today. I have one in the freezer and sent the rest home with my daughter yesterday for her birthday.
"Normal" work day for this morning then MRI this afternoon to check on my shoulder for decision for surgery or not at my June appointment. Expecting a yes and surgery in Aug/Sept after I get back from being a part-time snowbird. Going to spend a month with my dad up in central NY for July. Lately I've been starting to count down toward retirement (I think I've got it managed for possibly 5 years away instead of 8) and this is another of those days I'm going to have to readjust my attitude cause I don't wanna do it today.
But I'm here for a purpose. And the money incoming will be nice in 5 years, just wish I was "there" already some days. Oh well. Today is a good day. Let's do this!

Decided to come off the Mounjaro, doc agreed it looks like I'm getting an allergic reaction at the site and I swear I can lose more weight on my own without it. This is ridiculous. Less than 5 lbs in 30 days. Nope.
Eating up the rest of the chili (put 3 qts in the freezer) and will figure out what to make for this weekend/next week for grocery shopping. Meatloaf was good but it's gone lol. Need buns before I do the hamburgers from the freezer and ran myself out of sliced cheese.
About 50 days until I leave to be a part-time snow bird (in reverse) so 7 weeks. Would love to be 198 or below by then. Ok, body, work with me. Let's get moving!

This is starting to get annoying. I feel like I could be doing better than this off the medicine. I'm going to talk to them next week about how to wean down so it isn't awful for side effects of coming off the Mounjaro. Took 2 solid days for my stomach to settle this time. Sulfur burps are no joke. I can deal with some nausea but this is something else and it's happening each time now. Not a fan. At all.
Down 6 lbs since last month at this time. Although I love that it's 6 lbs, this is not even reasonable for a rate. So annoyed. Curious to see what it's like off the medicine, if it is still this slow (and it's just my body being a jerk) or if I do better. I would expect 8-10 a month for what I'm eating even with hypothyroid (which is finally in a more normal range). I did better the first 2 months than now.
Making chili and meatloaf this week (craving beef). Been still doing the small portions so I expect I can stretch it out all week and not have to keep cooking.

I know down is down but it's frustrating that it takes so long between them. Seems like I was losing weight more consistently when I was doing it without the meds. Still curious to see what the A1C looks like after the labs Friday. If it's not getting significantly better, I'll look at coming off it. I swear I can do at least this good without it, especially now that my mindset is right and my body isn't expecting the volumes/sugar. The 36 hours of sulfur burps from the injection and the constant constipation are no joke. If I'm losing regularly, I can deal with it but I've lost 2.5 lbs is 2 weeks. I feel like it was working better before the meds.

It amazes me how long it takes for little spikes to come back to baseline lol. It's still better than it was in January but come. on.
Focusing on things that need to get done for this year. Trim the trees, replace the siding, have a couple garage sales. Figure out what to do with the things I'm not taking with me to the new place (which is almost nothing as it happens). It's a journey, that's for sure, letting go of things. Deciding what is important enough to make room for. Deciding how much I really like vs. what I'm used to. Some things are easy, some things take more thought. I feel like this is a year of transition (again). I always like where I end up after one of these but it's an up and down feeling.
It's a quiet day and I'm going to appreciate it.
