Fritzy 22's Journal, 30 Nov 23

I ate too many pistachios yesterday! Really need to work on controlling how many I eat. About 30 nuts is fine, but not 75 or so! I'm trying hard but messing up in small ways. I had a piece of pie 2 days ago but figure one piece a week should be okay. Finally finished the potatoes and carrots left over from the roast. Making another Asian chicken salad today, small because I have just a few of the canned mandarin oranges left and a small amount of chicken.

Walked Bobby on the dirt trail again yesterday, just a little more than a mile and about 30 minutes. There are some semi steep uphill and downhill spots. Forgot to take Bobby to the groomer yesterday. She is always booked up for months. He has an appointment early next year but I called to see if they could just do his face, and then I forgot to go! The groomer said to come by sometime today.

Yeah nuts are a problem for me too. If they are salted it is really bad. Glad the groomer could get Bobby in. He deserves to be pretty

They need to invent some pistachios that are calorie free. I hate how quickly I can tear through a bag so I try to steer clear. I always go into it patting myself on the back since it’s not chips or chocolate but in the quantities I will eat, may as well be.

Thanks Liv. I'm good with portion control with raw almonds and walnuts. A salted can of mixed nuts would be trouble. Bobby got his face all cleaned up while I waited and Sally, the groomer didn't even charge me! I gave her a $10 tip.

Thanks Moko, I'm thinking putting bag of pistachios in the garage refrigerator since it would take some effort with my painful knee to go get them. I'm like you, I think they are healthy so have no problem buying them but always eat more than I intend

I took eat to many nuts! I've been on a roll. I take a handful a few times a day but it gets out of hand. Started baking cookie exchange cookies today. Made sugar cookies, tomorrow I will frost and decorate.Only ate 1 cookie. Used a different recipe so wanted to make sure they tasted good.💜

Thanks Diana! A cookie exchange sounds interesting! I can't bake cookies at this point because eventually I would eat them all!

If you're like m I tend to want to take whole bag and think I will only eat a few . Wrong!

Food sounds good. Sounds like you have a good groomer.

Thanks Regina! That's exactly what I do! I did take the bag to the garage refrigerator so I don't think ill have any pistachios today. Tomorrow when I have to go down the porch stairs to take my dog for a walk, I'll probably get 20 or 30 and keep in the kitchen to eat throughout the day.

Thanks Morticia! I've been going to the groomer for 12 years! When I moved here I had a chow and a shih tzu and then needed to be groomed often. Bobby only needs to go a couple times a year but his face gets to be a mess!

I have pistachios for my parrots and have to be careful about snacking while I make their food. Easy to get through too many quickly!
