gingin40's Journal, 20 Jan 15

It is strange how sometimes you will change so much that you will surprise yourself. My weight is stubbornly refusing to even reach below 174 lbs and I'm ok with that right now. In this moment of my life I feel comfortable with the weight loss process instead of needing to rush to the finish line (or my goal weight). In the past I would have changed my whole diet around so I could lose weight quickly. I love the new person I am becoming.

This weekend I went to the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC. What a beautiful place! I cannot imagine living in a place that huge. I read somewhere that a tour of the estate takes almost 2 hours to complete. My poor legs sure felt the walk, but it was worth it. I want to go back in the summer if I can.

On the job front, I am waiting for a call back for a potential job for a front desk position in a medical office. The interview went well, so pray for good news. I hope everyone has a great day.

Good luck with the job! And don't worry about the weight...as long as you're doing the right things it will happen in it's own time.

Praying that you get good news on the job front! I like where you are in your weight loss mentality. It's important to take time to learn new ways of eating and approaching food because you will need to depend on that during maintenance. Take your time - you will be rewarded :) Have a great day!

We went on a class trip to Biltmore Estate when I was too young to appreciate all of it. Are you from NC? I live in Raleigh and am always looking for allies with a focus on health, weight loss and exercise. Good luck with the job hunt!
