I knew there would be a gain. I need to weigh in more often. I've been catching up on all the things I've been putting off! Took Marco to the vet for dental work. Poor guy had 6 teeth extracted. I was worried about him because they have to put him under anesethia to do the dental work and he is extra fat. But that's done now and he seems okay. I called to make my dental appointment - it's been over 2 years but I just got back dental insurance for this year. I called and the appointment was 2 days later! I'm used to having plenty of time to stress and worry about it. But it was done the same day as Marco's dental work. Difference - $1100 for Marco and mine was covered by insurance! Also called and had the company that installed my blinds 3 years ago come out and fix the blinds on the skylights that haven't worked for about 2 1/2 years. So now I can keep them closed for the hot summer. Next week the glass company is coming out to see if I need new wheels on the sliding glass door and to fix the glass shower door. All are things I've lived with for years, but they need to get fixed if I want to sell the house. My brother in law came over and has been taking home the wood from the oak tree that was cut into small enough pieces for him to burn. Talked to a neighbor would said he would love all the great big rounds and will split them for firewood. Will take awhile but he will do it. While all that was going on I wasn't planning meals so I ordered a pizza on the day me and Marco had dental work. First pizza in over 6 months. 3 days to finish it off. Tomorrow should be better.

You are getting a lot done. I am trying to also. I love pizza but I can look at it and gain weight.

Thanks Morticia! The pizza place is right by the vet so I decided to get it when I was picking up Marco after his dental work. I don't like cooking when it's 100 degrees outside so I figured the pizza would be good for 3 days of eating. Now I'm trying to get back to my daily can of tomato soup!

You have been busy! You must feel better getting things off your to do list. I don’t like the dentist either unless it is just a cleaning. Gets my anxiety going for sure! Hope you are getting some rest today!:)

Wow lots going on in your life! That alone can cause changes in eating for sure! I bet it feels good getting things done. I need stuff done in my house but I get overwhelmed cuz I don't know where to start ..💜

Thanks Navywife - I did just get a cleaning and xrays at the dentist, but I normally still get stressed out about it before I go. I have to go back next week for something minor because of a tiny chip on one tooth. Thanks Diana. I make a list of things to do and finally go around to crossing things off the list. Now my house is so dark where the blinds on the skylights are closed - the kitchen and family room. But hopefully it won't get so hot inside.

At least you shouldn’t need a needle for the chip. The needle thing gets me and the after numbness. I don’t like out of control feeling like feeling abnormal. I have a small filling replacement coming up. Stressing daily about it. I get what you are saying!:)

I had to laugh aloud because when we were selling our house we did ALL the things we really could have done for ourselves but we "lived with it"

I just had three crowns replaced on the same day because I had a cavity under each one. I was in the office just about an hour and the new crowns will be ready next week. Didn’t even feel the injections, the needles are so small plus they use a topical before they even do that. Better dentistry through modern technology. Regular cavities, according g to my dentist’s website, are done via laser so no injections or drilling required. Check it out and see if there is a dentist that can help with that in your area. I know, those of us who are older remember when going to the dentist really did hurt.

Navywife - I think the dentist is just going to file the rough area on the tooth. I don't think he will numb the area. I will just worry that he'll hit a nerve because I have to have something to worry about! HCB - it's true that I just live with my house the way it is unless it's something that has to be fixed. I lived without a dishwasher for 4-5 years then got it replaced when the oven went out. Also replaced the built in microwave that died shortly after I bought the house. I just washed dishes by hand, bought a microwave at Costco and kept it on a microwave tray. I bought a toaster oven, but really needed a real oven so I got all new kitchen applicances about 3 years ago. My realtor that is going to list the house told me things that should be fixed. Did most of them last year. Kenna - I've never had a crown. I just had xrays and a cleaning, no cavities. Going back just for one tooth that has a tiny chip. I don't mind the injections, just don't like the numbing feeling. I don't think it will be necessary.
