Had my follow up appointment with the dentist. Took about 2 minutes for him for file the tiny chip in a bottom bottom tooth. Don't have to go back until next year for a cleaning. The glass store will be here this afternoon. Hopefully he can fix the sliding glass door without it costing too much. And the glass shower door. Those are the last items on my list I'd been procrastinating about. Have a new list to start. A couple years ago a plumber came out to fix a leaking faucet outside. He told me the water pressure was way too high. Last year I called a different plumber to see about getting that fixed. He gave me a price of over $1000. Told him I'd wait for a 2nd (and 3rd) bid. Have been putting that off.
It hasn't been as easy getting back into my good eating habits as I had expected. Not as bad as it could be but only because the grocery market has lots of empty shelves. I was looking for ice cream sandwichs and they had none. Then I thought maybe drumsticks and they didn't have them either. Still hard to get used to grocery stores not having everything and anything i want.
Marco is doing well after his dental surgery, 6 teeth extracted. Doing so much better than Fritzy did.

High water pressure can wreck havoc on plumbing, especially toilet refill valves. They need to install pressure reducing valve on the main water service. $1000 sounds about right. (I was a plumber on a past life). Did you get the chance to see the pressure gauge when they put it on the hose faucet? Or buy one and double check pressure yourself.

Our stores have too many empty shelves too. And it's hard to get food staples we need.

Same thing for the grocery store for me. I have a list of healthy food that are easy to prepare (it is just me), and dang the store is out of the brand or item I wanted. Then I figured out that Sunday morning is the best time to shop.

Thanks Daddy - I didn't see the pressure gauge. I am going to call the original plumber, who told me the pressure was too high. I've used him 2 or 3 times for various issues. The other plumber came out on a weekend when I had a leak under the house so that's why I got a price from him. Morticia - it is hard when you can't get what you want at the store! Thanks Navywife - I hate going to the dentist but really like this guy and his staff. The appointment was nothing really, no pain, just a tiny file and then he polished the area. Thanks Sugarplum - I have gone to the store so many times when the bread shelves are empty and they have no fat free milk or half and half. Found out milk is delivered Tuesdays. But I still usually get there too early in the morning. I now wait and get half and half late Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday morning. Not sure when or how often they have bread delivered.
